Over many interviews, Robert F. Kennedy Jr. told Michael Scherer about how he plans to remake America’s public-health system. Can he lead the scientific establishment he’s spent much of his life crusading against?

Please hear me when I say that

1) these anti-medical woo birth movements have been a primary feeder into anti-vaxx eugenic movements

2) they pre-date the age of social media

3) they exist because we have not addressed medical sexism and specifically obstetric violence

this man has blood on his hands and everyone who supported him and excused him has blood on their hands and I do not want to hear a single fucking Democrat with any position other than "impeach and remove him immediately"

he and his MAHA movement are child killers
Breaking News: Robert F. Kennedy Jr. said he personally instructed the CDC to abandon its position that vaccines do not cause autism. The move underscores his determination to challenge scientific orthodoxy — in this case, that vaccines save lives — and bend the health department to his will.

It is not "orthodoxy" that vaccines save lives, it is a proven, provable, testable FACT.

This is totally true. There is a weird concern that elite higher education is over representing women. So men get judged at a lower standard for everything (like in the rest of life!) yet women keep succeeding at a higher rate.
Biggest shocker at my talk today, which is consistent with my other talks and media stuff, is that the acceptance rate for men and women are different at highly selective institutions. Men have a much higher acceptance rate because most colleges are scared to go beyond a 60/40 ratio.

BUY EMILY'S BOOK!!
If a certain new book about the Declaration of Independence is 80 pages and $20, then my book is a STEAL at almost 200 pages longer and $29, right? 🤔

"Forgive, don't demand accountability" is a perfect way to maintain the existing power structures and ensure that nothing changes.
This is unfortunately a common response to even very serious issues such as sexual abuse. Never expose them, never press charges, never demand accountability even from positions of leadership. It's horrifying.

Then I read the subheadline and... bro, what?

I made an Instagram solely to follow local businesses, but Instagram's busted algorithm just keeps showing me content from restaurants nowhere near where I live. It's like, oh, you like restaurants? How about some ice cream from a place you can't go to? TECHNOLOGY IS FAKE. GIVE ME A LOCAL NEWSPAPER

Is Trump's National Garden of American Heroes actually happening? The deadline for selecting artists has passed — who did they choose? How do you even sculpt/cast statues in 8 months? Millions in NEH and NEA grants died for this, but I haven't seen updates recently.

Its no surprise in a country where black and non white women have a much higher maternal mortality that a lot of the stories of women dying post-roe are black
NEW:

In 2024, Tierra Walker was sick and getting sicker. She was also pregnant.

She knew abortion was illegal in Texas, but thought there was an exception for women like her, whose health was at risk. Doctors told her there was no emergency.

Then she died.

honestly, hiring erin was worth every cent and more. it's such a relief to know everything i put on paper was true (and she caught lots of the inevitable mistakes that pile up over tens of thousands of words)!
Anyway most books you read ARE NOT FACT CHECKED. Publishers will not pay for fact checkers. An author must take it upon themselves and pay out of pocket.

Which is why folks like @annaleen.bsky.social and @swordsjew.bsky.social who have hired me to fact check their books should be celebrated.

To me, the biggest tell that AI is massively overvalued is that Big Tech has to keep shoving it in our faces. I just noticed Chrome has a 'Gemini' button at the top of the browser, and I'm getting prompts all over the place, including Zoom, to 'try AI.'
