It's a full moon tonight. For a while, I had been trying to do a #werewolf drawing for the occasion every month, but eventually I forgot. Here's some of my favorites.

#horror #art
I remember seeing him first in Showdown in Little Tokyo; he gave his all, even to scripts that were less than impressive, and he looked damn cool doing it. RIP

Unexpected and random knee pain at the end of my workout. No pop or even pain prior to it either. Unfortunate and random.

When we wrap a pill in a treat to feed to a dog, usually the pill is for the dog's long term benefit; Fallon does that, but it's usually societal poisons.

it's wild how the positive use cases are like "save 5 minutes reading a long doc" and "write a generic email faster" and the negative use cases are "get encouraged to dive deeper in psychosis, misogyny, or suicidal thoughts" and we're still on the fence about overall value
New from 404 Media: ChatGPT told a violent stalker to continue running his misogynistic and threat-filled podcast despite the “haters,” and to visit more gyms to find women. The man stalked women in multiple states, including touching and following from work

He shouldn’t just be pushed out as the House Democrats’ leader; he needs to be primaried out of his seat entirely. Just a complete waste of a deep blue seat.
Jeffries: "The border is secure. That's a good thing. It happened on his watch. He wants to claim credit for it, of course he'll get credit for that. In terms of making sure that we actually deal with the issues that matter, including on immigration, there's a lot that's left to be desired."

If we're not at war, Pete Hegseth is a murderer. If we are at war, Pete Hegseth is still a murderer. He's a murderer. And you don't need to go to The Hague to hold him accountable because there are perfectly good, American laws AGAINST MURDER.
My latest in @thenation.com
Pete Hegseth Should Be Charged With Murder
No matter how you look at the strikes on alleged “drug boats”—as acts of war or attacks on civilians—Hegseth has committed a crime and should be prosecuted.

I have to say, I think I always liked the demo version more than the album version of We Die Young by Alice in Chains. It's much more rough and a bit more up tempo.

Even if you weren't concerned with the obvious labor exploitation at play here, if they won't pay for domestic staff at a restaurant, what else are they skimping on? Ingredients? Pest control? I know I wouldn't eat there.

One of the drums I am going to keep beating is that the US needs to submit to the jurisdiction of the ICJ.

Right now, we live in a time in which the president is immune and can grant immunity to basically anyone he wants. They are acting accordingly.

I think we lost it in editing but I talked about that very thing. Real rural life is virtually invisible — no art for dollar stores and meth clinics. And its racial diversity is erased. Actual rural people, especially poor ones, cannot access its aesthetic power
This is really important, because it is also about who can access the rural aesthetic. It's not always rural residents!
Maybe related, maybe not — I talked with Emily Keegin about rural aesthetics and politics

the military should take a clear message here: they will order you to do illegal things and then throw you directly under the bus if it becomes a problem

not that admiral bradley here does not deserve to be in jail, he absolutely does

but hegseth should go with him
The fall guy. Though he is probably also guilty of first degree murder.

Imo this is more about the real fact that the Indiana GOP already maximum gerrymandered the state and any further map messing risks losing them votes than about a principled stand against ableism
I'm not kidding lol the Indiana GOP gerrymandered so hard that anything done to redraw lines can only lose Republicans votes lmao they really hit peak voter disenfranchisement and have no other way to steal votes now!

I remember when the Stop and Shop near me was hiring, they had ads saying the starting pay was $15/mo, like it was some amazing benefit and not minimum wage in the Commonwealth.
The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."
