They had "all lives matter" shirts, called us "race traitors" (their main speaker called us that over the loudspeaker), they said the day of the rope was coming

Literal nazi shit

Cops just flashbanged, pepper sprayed and tear gassed us completely unprovoked

To put it in terms that helped me understand: You need Malcolm X, you need Rosa Parks, you need MLK, you need Black Panthers, you need Fred Hampton. And you need them all, in no small part, because the powers that be won’t differentiate and will try and kill 4/5 at a minimum. Every fighter helps ❤️
A big lesson of the civil rights movement was that everyone has their own activism and we support each other. If you're a radical activist, you can draw fire away from peaceful protestors. If you're a pacifist and you see radicals fucking shit up, no you didn't. You didn't see a damn thing.
Not a shitpost: #NoKings is feel-good performative activism for comfortable mostly upper and upper middle class white folks and that’s good, actually. Millions of people in the streets protesting a fascist regime is good. It is good for the normie baseline to be massive displays of public dissent.
We got an inflatable dinosaur at the Canberra antifascist rally

The thing about cops is that while they're never gonna be woke what they *are* is extremely territorial and I think a lot of them are beginning to chafe at a bunch of ICE GS-5s showing up from who knows where trying to tell them how to run shit in their towns.
This is fantastic! Now: do it on a work day! Withdraw your labour!
MSNBC captured the crowd from the Boston "No Kings" rally:
Maybe you’re not built for the protest part of activism, but there’s a hell of a lot that doesn’t involve funny signs. Have you considered sabotage?

Dunno if youse are across this... but it's forecast that in Sydney on Wednesday the temp will be 38C. (100 F)

It's OCTOBER! That's FIFTEEN DEGREES ABOVE AVERAGE!

Our Government and fossil fuel companies are determined to cook us alive! Boil the oceans. Kill our forests. Turn habitat to ash.🥺😩

Anti-racist rallies all over on October 19, in response to the next round of these 'Marches for Australia'. Get to your one. It's your opportunity not only to stand up, but to start meeting and making plans with other anti-racists. Your presence matters. Share it around.

Now WeRateDogs is TRIPLING THE FUCK DOWN and talking about how often cops shoot dogs
Sometimes you need a solid dose of hedonism to fix everything
This feels like parody

It’s going to be 32 degrees on Monday and the outdoor pools in Canberra don’t open for another week :(
He just wanted to hang out in his studio doing art and people kept wanting to chat!! During silent art time!!!
More dudes need to be having strong opinions about bird of the year
(My parent’s garden was one of the featured gardens last year but dad feels it’s “too much work” and he didn’t like talking to strangers who wanted to ask questions about the garden
I wish the ABC would make a cute sitcom about this village, it has some Hot Fuzz vibes but also there’s a peacock that lives in town and just hangs out in people’s backyards
The village I grew up in, where my parents still live, has an annual event called the Garden Ramble where you pay to walk around people’s private gardens and they’re promoting it on Insta with the line “get ready to RAMBLE” and I’m losing it

The ALP does Yum Cha and Pub really well, and so much of the actual useful organising happens there
