Top 5 in the #NFC after Week 13 in the #NFL:

1. Los Angeles Rams
2. Seattle Seahawks
3. Philadelphia Eagles
4. Green Bay Packers
5. Chicago Bears

Beating the Eagles and becoming the #1 seed in the NFC has put the Bears on the list, which means someone had to drop off.

Top 5 in the #NFC after Week 12 in the #NFL:

1. Los Angeles Rams
2. Seattle Seahawks
3. Philadelphia Eagles
4. Detroit Lions
5. Green Bay Packers

It's time to admit the Eagles have a problem that won't be solved this season. They're still in the top 5 on talent alone.

Top 5 in the #NFC after Week 11 in the #NFL:

1. Philadelphia Eagles
2. Los Angeles Rams
3. Detroit Lions
4. Seattle Seahawks
5. Tampa Bay Buccaneers

I'm keeping the Eagles over the Rams since we already beat them. Wouldn't be surprised if it's a NFC Championship rematch.

To be fair, this comment doesn’t either.
The weakness of Democratic (and lowercase-d democratic) rhetoric right now isn't, in general, that it lacks "we'll fight!" They say that a lot. It feels like insipid weak tea because it's so rarely followed up with specific goals and methods, what you intend to actually do in the face of the crisis.

It's always important to understand not just the tactics the enemy uses but also why they feel compelled to use them. And honestly, the best motivation to do this isn't laziness. It's looking for a right wing grift. Get paid to talk. Get the attention of power. And money.
and you know what? these students should also be judged, and judged harshly for this. running to the admins and state legislators and the press because you got a fairly earned failing grade on an assignment is and should be seen as a mark of extremely poor character. it makes you a very bad person.
the primary thing that TPUSA provides to young conservatives is a blueprint for weaponizing the abject cowardice of university administrators against individual teachers and instructors, and university admins should take a long look in the mirror and think about what that says about them

There's a ton of evidence that Elon isn't really smart and this is high on the list. He has no concept of how to simulate a universe or what it would take. It has nothing to do with graphics. But he brings that up because he has a baby brain and can't understand how the universe works.
Flawless logic, sir! Makes perfect sense that because video games are improving, we must live in a simulation!

Is this because Grant's inaugural ball ended early?

...

Who am I kidding? Trump doesn't know who Grant was.

This is such an insidious way of looking at the issue. This is how the system exploits the poor. They see it as a political game. Keeping the poor just barely able to survive without being able to create any savings or wealth is bad actually. And bad economics, too.

The premise, I imagine, is that she was able to save $1.5M because of the "no buy checklist" and not because she was making $390k/yr, which is hilarious. If you can't save 1.5M after five years with that salary, you need to hire an accountant.
i always wonder where media outlets actually find these people. there’s nothing newsworthy about this at all, like, are they just scouring facebook or linkedin for humblebraggarts?

Beyond irony. It steals from all human creativity to function. It destroys our environment to operate. And using it robs us of our core skills. It's the perfect economic weapon.
We can't really say this enough...

> Anastasia Berg [at UCL Irvine] said that new research — and what she's hearing directly from colleagues across various industries — shows that employees who heavily rely on AI are losing core skills at a startling rate.

Which is exactly why Democratic Party leadership likes it. And this is also why the Republican Party has been able to game Democrats since Clinton. Democrats see politics as gamesmanship not as policy. While Rs are using the gamesmanship to advance their cultural agenda.
It’s a slogan for political operatives who think campaigns are won and lost based on placards and stump speeches.

It tells no story. It has no anchor in the actual world we actually live in. It is a type of politics that eschews being actually political at all.
November 30, 2025 at 5:38 PM
You don't need any more evidence that the slogan is terrible.

This speaks to my gripe about how every iOS upgrade often includes interface changes that require more interaction to do the same thing. I now have to scroll down to mark something as Junk. I now have to tap on the bottom of the screen to tap the Tabs button then tap Show All Tabs to see all tabs.
i think it's useful to look at areas where the *tech* has gotten much better while tech *interactions* have gotten way worse. streaming has gotten worse, google search has gotten worse, digital cameras are leaps better. apple's silicone is so good it's threatening their user upgrade cycle
it’s so weird to look around and realize like, tech and media are materially worse than a decade ago

The Boston Globe identified the companies in Massachusetts that employ the most SNAP recipients. A key stat: "In Massachusetts, 74% of working-age recipients of the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program are employed, half of them full-time."

This is another reason to try them in The Hague and not here.
Think about all the evil assholes in this administration.

They *all* expect to die of old age, obscenely wealthy, surrounded by family, because that is how the US has allowed *every single previous evil asshole* to live after doing their atrocities.

They learned they will never be punished.

Government power is based on the consent of the people. Consent is not possible without truth. Lies rob us of our agency.
I wrote about a novel approach to tackling misinformation currently being discussed in Wales--and which some say Canada should try, too. What if we made a rule so politicians couldn't lie? www.thestar.com/politics/fed...
Is it time to make it illegal for politicians to lie to us?
That’s the question currently on the table in Wales, which has just released a draft of the “globally pioneering” sanctions for politicians.

To be fair, a lot of developers and landlords are bad. And a lot of HOAs and condo associations are also bad. But none of this is an argument against land use reform and facilitating the building of more for rent and for sale housing products. It's just understanding the parameters of the problem.
It was accepted as doctrine in left-leaning circles for some time that:
"Developers - bad. Landlords - bad."

And worst of all: "Environmentalism is when everyone's house is surrounded by green stuff"

The police powers are based on the health, safety, and welfare of all, not just the ones with property. Idiots like this will continue to let the problem escalate to emergency conditions and continue to insist we need to prioritize those already enjoying prosperity over those without.
While @resnikoff.bsky.social's article has some valid criticism, part of the challenge underscored here is that the YIMBY movement needs to continue to engage with justice orgs and listen to the lived experiences in dialogue. Swooping in and telling communities what to think is the wrong approach.
