“They gonna drive me anyways. They drivin’ all our people.”

She will probably get smoked, but this is absolutely the right strategy. In red states, Dems need to be running high variance strategy candidates.
It's official: Rep. Jasmine Crockett has announced she's running for U.S. Senate in Texas.

People look at me crazy when I say that the moral and legal collapse of America was sealed in January 2009 when Barack Obama just decided that torturers and murderers could go free because it would be inconvenient to have to do anything about them.
They're using the confinement box, one of the most horrific methods of CIA torture in the post-9/11 black sites, against migrants now. This is the direct result of the lack of consequences for the architects of the torture program. Either there will be criminal penalties for this or it will expand.
Torture Techniques from CIA Black Sites Were Used at Alligator Alcatraz
Amnesty International, interviewing migrant detainees, identifies use of the confinement box. There can be no denying it is a torture prison

Either one would be a complete rejection of those obscure writings, The Federalist Papers
So yeah sauer just said that we have two choices:

1 all agencies are au fond unconstitutional because they excercise legislative and judicial functions or

2 the prez must have unrestrained control over every aspect of them because their powers are (in a formal legal sense) executive

Trump isn’t some conservative superstar, he’s a barely literate mafioso who couldn’t pass a sixth-grade civics test whose entire administration has consisted of pardoning outright fraudsters, race war rhetoric, and looting the public and private sectors while naming stuff for himself.

Every SCOTUS justice will get themselves and their children fully vaccinated; they don't want yours to be vaccinated because they are fully prepared, and some of them eager, to watch your children die.
The Supreme Court just set aside a 2nd Circuit decision upholding New York's requirement that all school students, public and private, obtain certain vaccinations, without any religious exemptions. It orders the 2nd Circuit to reconsider the ruling in light of SCOTUS' LGBTQ school books decision.

the “unitary executive” theory is incompatible with successful science.

We get to choose: the current Supreme Court and its views on executive power, or America’s science superpower. We can’t have both

If I attempted an insurrection & the administration after me not only failed to enact consequences but also allowed me the opportunity to come into power again I would also learn the lesson that I can do whatever the fuck I want and nobody with power will ever try to stop me.

Laws aren't real. They exist solely on account of buy-in from society's participants. Once one side disengages, you no longer reside in a society based on laws. You live in a society based on power and armed force. I am begging folks to accept this so we can get moving.
Just legal Calvinball. Obviously lawless.

It’s just an objective state of fact that these people want more children to die. Or to suffer lifelong pain.

And yet, even the most left leaning people in your personal life probably would find that statement.l shocking. We have a lot of work to do.
Breaking: After contentious debates and three failed attempts at a vote, a federal vaccine committee decided on Friday to end the decades-long recommendation that all newborns be immunized at birth against hepatitis B.

there is no response to Tom Cotton other than “you are a fascist and war criminal and we are going to dedicate our lives to punishing you for that”

There is no need to argue facts with him. he’s a liar

She was able to secure investments and support from Google and Microsoft for her IVF startup in Israel.

"But libraries are essential — to learning, to community, to democracy, and to any hope we have of building a society organized around education and collective care, rather than control."
Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson has proposed disastrous cuts to our city's libraries while setting aside $5M for a ShotSpotter replacement. As library associate Sara Heymann told me, “Libraries embody everything we need to fight back against fascism.” My piece on what’s at stake and how to fight back:
You Can’t Fight Fascism While Defunding Libraries

It’s not that these people talk like they’ll never be out of power, it’s that they talk like they don’t believe a Democrat will ever prosecute them.
Megyn Kelly on alleged war crimes: "I really do kind of not only wanna see them killed in the water, whether they're on the boat or in the water, but I'd really like to see them suffer. I would like Trump and Hegseth to make it last a long time so they lose a limb and bleed out."
