Anyone of you lovely folks into model making (of authentic wartime military kits/diorama stuff) and can recommend any handy tools or accessories for building, painting, customising and so on? For someone who researches *everything* so needs to be something properly useful and possibly unusual … TIA

Storm Emilia has stopped play, heavy rain and wind, all outdoor events cancelled and people being urged to stay away from the coast due to high seas. At least it’s the last day 😅.
Yesterday’s Bin Cats say hi.
A couple of rubbish bins (trash cans) on a sandy beach. Wooden boardwalk just in front of us. White sun beds, footprints in the sand. Just behind the bins and partially visible is a black cat, hunkered down. In front of the bins is a black cat with ears slightly flattened and tail stretched out. In front of us, to the right, sitting on the boardwalk and saying a quiet “meowhello” to anyone who asks, is a third black cat: feet neatly placed, tail tucked.

Waiting for the rain to pass
Rustic cafe, empty of people but locals were popping in and out. It’s next to a sea front promenade with outside seating, but we’re under a canopy. Red plastic chairs, Cola adverts on the tables, a cup of coffee on our table with a wrapped Speculoos-type biscuit next to it. If you look closely, there are puddles on the pavement and rain is dripping from the canopies. You can’t see it, but in the distance a pigeon was having a lovely bath in one of the puddles.

Today we had lots of sky
Shimmering grey light reflects off the ocean into which protrudes, from the left, a short harbour on which sits a small lighthouse. On the horizon where the water meets the sky there’s a grey line, it seems to be pencilled in. The sky above shines with morning light behind clouds in various shades of grey. No sun or blue sky yet, so the whole scene seems to be monochrome. Right in front of us, before the water starts, a rocky shore is starkly dark. A rocky sandy beach, with a single distant figure walking towards us on the right. A dark cliff runs right to left into the distance above which is a blue sky with wispy and fluffy clouds. A calm water’s edge to the left has a hint of white surf. More shimmering light on the water, this time a hint of blue in the sky above. A rocky / sandy shoreline in front and in the far distance on the right a dark cliff jutting into the ocean. Brown rocky terrain is at our feet, above which is bright blue sky with giant mare’s tail clouds fanning towards us like the aftermath of an explosion. A few grey wispy clouds run parallel to the ground.

Duck thing quacking noisily but sleepy kitty ignores it 😁
Black duck? With white cap, sounds like a duck anyway, quacking away on a rock while above it on a higher rock a ragdoll cat is curled up fast asleep. An empty brown dish is below the cat and to the right of Mr Duck - I suspect at least *one* of those present has had a nice snack.
