A Cambridge-led study of 13.9 million children in England found COVID vaccines are the safest option. The very rare, short-term risk of heart inflammation from vaccination is far lower than the risks from infection, which can cause blood clots, heart issues and severe inflammation for up to a year.
New Data Shows COVID-19 Infection Much Worse For Children Than the Vaccine
"The risk following vaccination is substantially lower than the risk following infection".

My Dad escaped the Nazis in 1939 on the Kindertransport.

He went to night school then University, trained as a physicist. Married my mum, brought up 3 kids, all work in public sector.

Under these proposed rules, he would have been deported.

£87.7m of profits went to care providers owned by private equity controlled from tax havens.

Profits mean money buys less. Higher taxes for less service.

Say NO to privatisation.

Yesterday Nick Tenconi, the leader of UKIP, best known for his Nazi salutes, paraded a group of about 60 people through Sheffield to a hotel where asylum seekers are accommodated. If the march had been to a house belonging to a politician or a celebrity, no doubt the authorities would have stopped it. But because asylum seekers are treated as less than human, this march was deemed to be ok.

One of the more incredible stories out of LA this year has been how a taco review blog became the best on-the-ground coverage of ICE raids in the city.

They do a dispatch every day, follow-up on the kidnapped people (which almost no media outlet has done), and fact-check government claims.
@lataco.bsky.social first began as a blog documenting local Mexican cuisine. Now, it’s an essential reporting powerhouse to the city as Trump’s mass deportation plot unfolds.
