I remember Dawning Realization Month for the NFT people too. Think this is going to take much longer because of how wrapped up the whole economy is in this, but it really feels like it's happening.
Anecdotally on twitter seeing a big shift the last few days from every AI slop account saying every other creative field is “over” and they’re in control now to now posting about how nobody likes them and it’s not fair and they’ll persevere and real artists respect and uplift eachother

Many federal workers left government this year.

Here’s a story about one — a man named Jonathan White.

At a town hall this spring, he demanded Democrats do more to stop Trump's agenda.

"We want you to show fight, and you are not fighting.”

(You may remember this viral clip.)

It was Downey who coined the phrase in the LEVERAGE writers room “future episodes do not win out over present episodes”. Trust me, you’ll have more ideas. You’ll die full of them.
WRITING TIP, something simple but it catches many of us out: if you have a great/fun idea for your story, *use it now*.

Don’t save your ideas for some nebulous other story you might write tomorrow. I promise you’ll have more.

Break your story’s status quo. Go a step further. Use the big idea.

Wiener’s Circle Promised Free Hot Dogs If Bears Coach Ben Johnson Took Off His Shirt. He Did https://blockclubchicago.org/2025/11/28/wieners-circle-promised-free-hot-dogs-if-bears-coach-ben-johnson-took-off-his-shirt-he-did/
CHICAGO — The Wiener’s Circle loves a good promotion and doesn’t seem to mind giving away free hot dogs. On Friday, the Lincoln Park hot dog stand got a big assist from Bears Head Coach Ben Johnson. The Wiener’s Circle promised free hot dogs if Johnson took off his shirt in a post-game locker room speech. Word got to Johnson, who happily obliged during his patented “Good-Better-Best!” post-win pep talk after the Bears beat the Philadelphia Eagles 24-15 on Black Friday. “I know you guys are hungry for more, right?” Johnson said to his team after the nationally-television game. “Let me tell you something. The city of Chicago is hungry, too.” With that, his Bears sideline shirt came off, the team went berserk and the Wiener’s Circle was on the hook for free dogs. Bare down. The hot stand announced Tuesday would be the giveaway day. > Is this real life, or is the just fantasy?! Free hot dogs again Tuesday motherfuckers! https://t.co/36J1gQwpl4 > > — The Wieners Circle (@TheWienerCircle) November 28, 2025 In September, the Wiener’s Circle promised free hot dogs if Bears QB Caleb Williams threw four touchdown passes against the Dallas Cowboys that weekend. He did — and they did. Fans lined up for blocks a few days later to cash in. Williams couldn’t make it, but he sent his dog, Supa, for a free snack. > Caleb Williams’ dog, Supa, enjoyed a free hot dog at @TheWienerCircle courtesy of his dad's 4 TD passes on Sunday 🐶🌭 > > And no, he did not put any ketchup on it 😂 pic.twitter.com/ffZ8xksptL > > — Bears on CHSN (@CHSN_Bears) September 24, 2025 * * * **Support Local News!** **Subscribe to Block Club Chicago, **an independent, 501(c)(3), journalist-run newsroom. Kyle Monangai and D'Andre Swift are the first Bears duo to rush for 100+ yards in 40 years.

Walter Payton and Matt Suhey last accomplished this feat in 1985.

We're gonna need a truth and reconciliation commission and Nuremberg style trials to reckon with all of this evil, and any Dem candidate for office who shies away from a full reckoning in the name of "moving forward as a nation" can get well and truly fucked

This is an insightful but deeply upsetting article about why everyone in the US feels poor, and why the current political situation emerges as a direct result.

She reported him missing to Houston police. But instead of reuniting them, the city turned him over to ICE.

“They’re failing all of us,” his mom said.
