Today's 70% fall in net migration to 205,000 was not one of the six stories in BBC ten o'clock news.

Ta massive assymetry in whether rises in immigration and falls in immigration are considered newsworthy by broadcasters

Down by 140k isn't thought to be.

Up by 140k undoubtedly would be.

Just saw My Neighbour Totoro stage show in London, and it’s absolutely astonishing — magical, spectacular, funny, devastatingly emotional, and wonderfully innovative. If you love the film, or just love live theatre, it’s a must watch

Still love the ending, but seemed to lack the punch and energy it had in the cinema, although it was my first “post-covid” cinema trip, so I’ll always love it for that.

So many existing oil + gas licenses, pipelines, wells are sited in Marine 'Protected' Areas, as shown on our Watershed Pollution Map. The pollution risks + risks to wildlife if existing licences are expanded are likely to be huge:

Remember all, millionaires should have tax cuts because they’ll spend it and drive the economy, but poor people should have as little as possible as they’ll waste it on mobile phones and drugs.

I spent most of Tuesday following the "Singing Street" around to take photos of the filming locations. It was very hard not to be struck by streets that were once playgrounds now being car parks. In other places there is still a bustle of life, but it is now tourists playing, not skipping girls

Maybe somebody should ask the rich who are threatening to leave the UK why they don’t want to integrate into British society.

Big fear for the Budget was the green transition.

✅ Heat pump funding remains.
✅ VAT remains on gas.
✅ Support for EVs extended.
✅ Renewable charges removed from electricity.
🤷🏻‍♂️ EV per-mile charge - barrier to entry as in NZ?
🤷🏻‍♂️ North Sea drilling
🤷🏻‍♂️ Fuel duty increase. U-turn likely?

Ok overall.

Moving towards cheaper electricity makes heat pumps and EVs more competitive, 'cutting national dependence on costly fossil imports', says Ember analyst Josie Murdoch.
