Are you ready for a world where magic is no more, and yet returns in fits and gasps? Or for a knight searching for answers? How about an elf hunting mages? No? Maybe a farmboy touched by magic, a clarion call to destruction?

These and more await you in The Backwards Knight. SOON!

In a story if you could play a villain or a hero, which would you be?

This took some thought because I tend to either DNF a #book if I don't like it unless it's a short book then I force myself through.

However I think I have my answer: *Great Expectations* by Charles Dickens. Read it in Sophomore year English class. Not terrible, but not a story that stuck with me.
I'm curious fellow writers, what book do you regret reading all the way through.- Mine was Ayn Rand's Atlas Shrugged, like I don't know what teenage me was thinking. Truly unhinged shit that book, I am oft forced think about the fucking 60-page monologue from John Galt. Like, what was I thinking

There's something I need people to understand.

The studio that made this released some numbers. They had to produce 85 minutes of footage to find 15 usable seconds for this ad.

The machine that creates moving images out of nothing has a failure rate of 340:1 and the best 15 seconds... is this.
Coca-Cola’s newest Christmas commercial was made using AI.

(Weeps and continues to not write)
Me: "This is a rough draft, so the next scene doesn't have to be good."

My Brain: "A perfectly polished short story, got it."

Me: "n0!"

Still motion sick after playing the arcane tower in Baldur’s Gate III yesterday. Still not done with it but I’ve gone to do other quests until I have more ways to give myself lightning resistance. 😵‍💫

The more I see about AI, the more I think of what my writing coach (@awesomejohn.bsky.social) says:

"Writing [or ANY creative endeavor] is the act of making decisions."

AI alone doesn't 𝒄𝒓𝒆𝒂𝒕𝒆 art. It can 𝒂𝒔𝒔𝒆𝒎𝒃𝒍𝒆 things from popular images or words, but it can't 𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒐𝒔𝒆 why what's there is there.

As someone with autism and Generalized Anxiety Disorder who didn’t discover I was neurodivergent until I was in my mid 20s: this is a big mood.
I learned that I was going through life with bipolar, ADHD, OCD, anxiety, and depression, thinking everyone functioned the same way.

I blamed myself. So it's liberating, but also frustrating to know how much differently my life could have gone if someone had just listened to me, myself included.

There’s magic in watching the rows of knits and purls change into a cable design that I wouldn’t know how to follow before.

Sometimes you just gotta go for that skill you’ve always admired in other people and see if you can accomplish it yourself. ❤️

Ever feel bad about taking time off for a cold?

I mean yes I want to sleep for half the day, can't move my limbs without feeling like they're ready to pop off, and am sustaining myself on hot soup and tea to try and dislodge everything in my sinuses right now.

But do I need to rest? Really?
