literally fuck anyone who doesn’t see at this point that it’s an organized nationwide effort to make trans people unemployable.

every trans person they push out of public life is a win for them & a whole hell of a lot of cis people need to start stepping up and saying fuck off to freaks like this.

the anti-semitic Charlie Kirk conspiracy theories spreading like wildfire seems to have sparked a genuine panic among MAGA conservatives that the brand has turned so rancid, combined with, by and large, a complete inability to acknowledge that this was an inevitable result of the movement.

especially in the dark hours we need to remember that we are going to win
Worth noting, I guess, that inside of a year we've gone from administration officials taking selfies of themselves at CECOT and bragging about how it's hell on earth to now getting their horrible little media worms to kill stories about it

Andrew Johnson illegally fired Edwin Stanton on Feb 21, 1868. The House voted, in a one-sentence resolution, to impeach him on Feb 24. The actual articles were adopted March 2-3. The Senate trial began on March 4.

Twelve days from the offense itself to facing trial for it.
WELKER: Massie and Khanna say they are looking at options including impeachment and contempt for DOJ officials. Would you support those steps?

KAINE: I think that's premature

In the summer of 1950 most US newspapers ran an AP story about how race had become the main issue in the upcoming Georgia governor's race. Segregationist Herman Tallmadge, governor from '47 to '55 and then a Senator until 1981 made a name for himself by refusing to "apologize for being a white man."

The reason they're so focused on trans teens is that people who transition younger typically blend into society better. To the extent that they're willing to tolerate our existence in society at all, they'd rather we be easily identified by our appearance/voices/etc.
Cis people really have no idea how it feels to watch a regime hold a press conference to admit, on camera, the pogrom against trans people they've been waging for 11 months is not only real, but they're going to double down on genocide and try to wipe out all the children first.

The name "Popular Science" doesn't mean we shift our coverage depending on public opinion. It means we cover relevant subjects that are rigorously researched, reliable, and grounded in reality.

And trans lives are grounded in reality.

We see y'all. No matter what.

First-of-a-kind study shows encouraging data for trans kids who socially transition
Ninety-four percent of participants in a new study stood firm in their trans identity after five years, and "detransitioning" is rare.

I absolutely adore how this is playing out.

Bari Weiss's entire career consists of playing to a small, niche audience that BELIEVES itself to be the vast, silent majority.

Now she's running CBS with that same schtick and it is just impossible to hide how niche her bullshit is.
CNN has a show with a similar line. That the problem with this country is we just aren’t talking to each other.

It’s the kind of diagnosis that a toddler would land on.

if you are a trans teen right now, you do not have the lifetime of experience with the united states federal legislative branch to cope with “this will *probably* die in the senate” on top of the rest of your life and that right there feels like a fucking flavor of abuse at scale.
I haven't been in the pediatric trans healthcare system since 2019 and I can barely look at these headlines without wanting to puke.

Can't imagine the fucking damage this is doing to trans kids today.

thinking about how few people know about the false electors scheme is genuinely depressing

thinking about how nobody in the democratic party has signaled a willingness to reopen that question is also depressing

i'm just really depressed, i think
I also developed proof beyond a reasonable doubt of this, using the investigative methods of "reading the words that the president regularly spoke and wrote in public forums."
