To increase profits airports have turned themselves into malls so travelers will arrive well before their stated departure time. A consequence of that is people who can walk 10 minutes but not 45. Add in increased disability with Covid and you get this. But sure frame it as a "problem"

The White House claims the vote to rename the Kennedy Center was “unanimous.” That is false. I was muted on the call and denied the opportunity to speak or register my opposition. That is not consensus. That is censorship.

My boys do not remember my habit of reading all sorts of winter holiday books to them at bedtime through December.

Against his will, 8 got a reading of "Yitzi and the Giant Menorah" last night—with the lights on, because it's one of the most beautifully illustrated books I own.

That moment Zendaya's knees just give out kills me every time.
I don't know why but I feel like we all could use this tonight.

You know the rules. See it, repost it.

"Means you've been accepted. Farmers won't interfere if they can't stick you. Judging's their version of a welcome mat."

As you may know, I have stopped using Twitter, and have decided to reproduce some of my more memorable threads here for posterity. Here’s one I hold wrote after a particularly engaging swordfighting lesson.

Buckle up, swordfighting fans, because I *have* studied my Agrippa!

If your guests test w/rapids twice before the event, 48 hours apart, it’ll catch 63% of Covid cases even if they have no symptoms. Testing 3x improves that to 79%!

25 years ago today, SCOTUS elected George W Bush president of the United States by blocking completion of a voting canvass in Florida. A subsequent canvass by the Associated Press showed that Bush's rival, Al Gore, had won the race in Florida—and thus the contest for the presidency—by 700 votes.

You know, we picked on my mom when she converted a coat closet to media storage—VHS, mostly, though DVDs mixed in eventually.

But then, I grew up on the tail of a mountain where, to the best of my knowledge, cable is still unavailable and satellite dishes are still common.

Missing from the tributes to the now-late CEO of an org I worked for in my 20s:

- HR covered for him a LOT.
- At least one harassment lawsuit was settled out of court.
- I quietly prepped an early social media strategy for the moment he came in off the golf course and demanded we get on Twitter.
