Cat breeds are only important when getting a cat, and even then the only choice is Siamese (purrdy), Maine Coon (large), Sphinx (bald) and RNG.

All three of my cats are Lithuanian Street Randos and I love them.
Your phone cannot tell you if your cat is a certain breed. My phone thought Fergus and Francie were a shih tzu. If you got your cat from a shelter or picked it up as a stray it is OVERWHELMINGLY likely that you have a standard mixed breed cat and there is absolutely nothing wrong with that.

The pod embarks on the Great Crusade in Eisenhower, "a tabletop game of the great battles of the European and Mediterranean theatres of the Second World War" by Sam A. Mustafa (who did provide us with the rules, but all the glazing is absolutely sincere)

Alright, that one isn't AI.

Getting real sad old school photoshop and AI art are getting real hard to clock.

... here is the same cat sitting in a bowl with a party hat on. Negatives from my collection, ca. 1950s.

This is a great photo of a cat sitting in a bowl. "No way she could top that", you're thinking. WELL GUESS WHAT...

@catsofyore.bsky.social I am endlessly charmed by the fact that in the 1920s and 30s my family was taking almost as many photos of their cats as I do now with a smartphone

Started working on a tiny version of my Gate Crushers series, starting with the flag bearer.

Those epic scale minis are sooooo tiny, a real challenge to paint. Even had to use a magnifier to do my tiniest edge highlights and smallest glazes ever.

Anyway, hope you like that start, more to come ^^

I am terrified of reading WWII books with outdated historiography and I want to read the best sci-fi/fantasy out there, so my purchases are basically dictated by what Something Awful goons, my friends, and random CTH guests recommend/approve.
The death of browsing is part of the reason art is the way it is now. Our opinions are largely fed to us by algorithms. Spending a spare 15 minutes wandering around a bookstore or comic shop or video rental place was how you found stuff you wouldn't ordinarily pick up and thereby expanded your taste
Bookselling is like the most "people go to the store and buy what looks cool to them without a particular agenda" type business left, and your purchases have a huge influence on what is ordered, what is displayed, and what is recommended.

- Game of the Year That’s Some Gay Bullshit Indie Meditation on Grief or Whatever

The article is well worth a read; this information would never have come to light were it not for Steam's AI disclosure policy, and the game looks to be a rushed cash grab not involving Grasshopper studio.

This is why CEOs dont like AI disclosures, they want to be able to discreetly serve slop
The Let it Die sequel - Let it Die: Inferno - which is coming out next week (4th December), seems to have been built using a considerable amount of generative AI. https://bit.ly/4ol7lIA
