Fortified Niche is finally a maximum roll-of-1d4-years old. And as every year, we use this opportunity to reminisce about the best games we reviewed last year.

Oh, and there will be some major news at the end, so stick around.

Unrelated, but someone should force Studio Tomahawk to make a social media account so we could bully them to make more V for Valor stuff.
Battlefront games have all the production values and official mini support that actual good games lack while having none of the interesting rules that would make them worth playing.

At least 28mm World War 2 has Bolt Action: it's not the best, but it's good enough and well-supported.
Love how in the Nerd Game Sphere - outside of board games - the large, lavishly officially supported, huge production values and accessible player base things are all bad.

TTRPG? DnD.
Miniature games? 40K.
Large WW2 games? Flames.
Larger WW3 games? Team Yankee.
Me, wishfully hoping for a plastic-supported Cold War Gone Hot game set in the late 1950s.
What, and lose all the recordings when blip.vidler goes down? Fuggedaboudit
If the pod survives and once things on the ground settle down the little, I'll be looking to move it somewhere that isn't Devil Bezos' own Spotify. Any good ideas?

In the Lysander sector last night - the T'au, battered from the Battle of the Eventide, try to sneak a key commander past the Imperial blockade, only to be beset by unexpected Ork pirates. A desperate and chaotic battle ensued, and though many T'au escaped, the Emissary ship was destroyed.
There are plans to workshop a variety of new favs.
Personally I'd much rather know my dollar is going to talented artists who can make more of what I love.

Warcradle reply. Only addresses their in-game alt-history narrative, and nothing to address the guy posting "Lost Cause" BS.

I joined the Warcradle Games discord after hearing they had new plans for Wild West Exodus. Unfortunately, I found someone pitching "Lost Cause" BS and the Warcradle rep won't come down against it. Very disappointing and meaning I won't buy into the new edition. (Warcradle reply in second post).

We're not the type of podcast who could answer that lol
...also, isn't this like at least the second/third story of "and then the Chinese partner ran away with our molds"?
Petition to make Plastic Soldier Company change their name to 3D Print Resin Soldier Company to be more in line with reality.
If you see this, quote post with your favourite Pokemon

Same thing happens with DnD: it's the Big Game that some people believe is the Only Game, and it's also bad.
It's OK to hate it for normal reasons [people should play better games rather than The One Industry Giant (bad)]

Due to miscommunication etc. the Nichees ep is not coming out TOMORROW. You're probably gonna have to wait a week.
