Apart from a little green stuff, these two Ork Deff Dredds are built. They look almost exactly as I hoped they would. The Deff Dredd kit easily allows 2 models to be made - if you kitbash an extra body and mode of movement.

I took some fancy photos of Arjac.

Back in 5th edition I had a whole army built around him, but I didn't have a model for him and I never finished painting a single Space Wolf. 😂 So it's awesome to not only have a proper Arjac but to have actually painted a model too.

I said that i had a stupid idea. may I present Red Bull Stormboy, with bumblebee wings. Aerodynamically a bumblebee shouldn’t be able to fly, but as long as this Ork believes he can fly, he can fly with those little wings.

While listening to alot of Ork audiobooks on vacation, I remembered a box containing fantasy orcs and 40k bitz.
After almost 20 years, I found that box and started, and here's the first finished boy! I painted him as a Bad Moon because I have an unfinished monstrosity in the same colors.

OK so my goal at Adepticon was to do well enough to have someone who knows what they are doing to take some photos of my lil’ Grots and their Mek. Alas, I fell short of that goal, so I will do as best as my limited skills and equipment will allow 😄
A 40k Killa Kan model that has been modified with longer “legs” to allow an underslung mounted machine gun with a Grot shoota blazing away. Three other grots are facing other directions either shooting pistols or gesturing vigorously. Left side view of the ‘Kan showing a Grot shooting his pistol whilst taking cover behind the leg of the Machine. The entire machine is absurdly festooned with checkerboard patterns and hazard stripes with a dash of purple here and then to contrast the green of the Grot krew. There is much rejoicing among the cloth gang as I have finally painted them a new friend - this time a cloth dug.

The dug will be getting a coat of shiny varnish, an enamel wash and then some mossy basing.

It was nice to be painting again. I'll try to keep it up - I've got skreks to paint!
A block colour painted cloth dug miniature (it looks a bit like a dog but not really) is admired by two cloth dolls, a beanbag cat and three singing rats - all miniatures painted in block colours with a shiny varnish finish and matt enamel wash in the recesses.
