The Dems won’t get another donation from me until they oust Chuck Schumer from leadership.
In a moment that demanded courage, he chose cowardice.
I’ll donate to individual candidates, but no longer to the general party fund.

It’s not that we didn’t want the shutdown to end, it’s the fact that millions of people suffered throughout this shutdown and it was for nothing. That’s the most upsetting part.

Despite waving the occasional rainbow flag, raised fist, or posting a “Black Lives Matter” sticker the elite at Democratic senators are the same as their GOP colleagues. They’re insulated from the lives of most Americans, cozy in their status, and don’t really care.
Remember when some of us said the Democratic leadership would take all the wrong lessons from the blue tsunami and squander all the goodwill?
Here you go.
Here you go.

Democrats have to stop bailing out Republicans from facing the consequences of their own policies. And yeah, that means they have to stop sparing voters from experiencing what GOP government truly means.
Every time Dems step in, it only emboldens the GOP & they make it even worse the next time.
Every time Dems step in, it only emboldens the GOP & they make it even worse the next time.
So Democrats get:
1. A CR that will prevent the GOP from facing the wrath of Americans for a shutdown over the holidays
2. A coupon for one (1) meaningless ACA vote that will fail
3. An end to the illegal RIF/SNAP moves that are already before the courts
Those all seem like wins for the GOP.

The whole GOP shutdown strategy is hoping that sheer force of propaganda can convince the public that things getting worse does not reflect badly on the people in charge of the government, and that hurting America more will get Democrats to acquiesce to the Trump admin hurting America in other ways.

So the oldest person ever to become president keeps falling asleep in his office during public events and there’s no big public discussion on how this is a coverup or how republicans are lying to us about how this government is running?

Pay attention folks, Trump and the goons at the Heritage Foundation are actively erasing and rewriting history.
They want the same control over the past that they do the present.

1/ The US Government has quietly removed a memorial to Black soldiers who died in World War II from the Netherlands American Cemetery in Margraten, South Limburg. The move follows a complaint from the right-wing Heritage Foundation to the American Battle Monuments Commission. ⬇️

JD's family has spent $35M on vacations. Kash Patel used a $60M FBI jet to go on a date. Trump spent $98M to golf for 24% of the days of this term. All our tax dollars. But you think single moms getting $6 a day for SNAP is the problem?

In fact, he cut child poverty in half.
He cut child hunger, too.

Jeez, is there anything that this guy won’t ruin?!?
Notice that the stories didn’t say that Trump was in discussion to PAY for naming rights.
Let this be a lesion to future generations: when someone tells you that they’re a corrupt, greedy, moronic, narcissist believe them.

Shout this from the hilltops. Legacy media should be consigned to the dustbin of history. Until they return to even a semblance of independence and speaking truth to power they’re a now useless relic from an earlier era.
We all have to stop worrying about legacy media and create/fund new sources. It’s not 1998 anymore, the emperor has no clothes.
i love that mamdani also beat the NYT in this election. like a drum.

The cruelty (and laughing about it or throwing a party afterwards) has always been the point.
Call me when the GOP creates policies or programs that help masses of people just because it’s the right thing to do. They don’t.
And now they’re led by one of the greediest people of the last century.

"The Republican Party has created an entirely avoidable mess for itself. By taking a resolute stand in favor of making healthcare unobtainable for many Americans, and now threatening to starve children to achieve that perverse goal, they have made performative cruelty their political calling card."

The shutdown is exposing the speaker's slimy disingenuousness.
