Watching the kung fu movie Dreadnaught and a character has one jingle bell on a string he wears around his neck. The foley on it is cranked up to maximum. It's constantly blasting louder than anything else whenever he moves. This is anti-ASMR.

I also want to note as an addendum that "pushing tutorializaton on players" and "having no resources at all" are not the same thing. I'm dating myself here but a LOT of 90s adventure games had an NPC you could _ask_ for hints but who would not typically volunteer them and many are beloved characters
