I’ve lost two family members since Dec 1. They were elderly but their deaths unexpected.

And the Reiners’ murders coming after the dreadful loss of life in Australia and at Brown. Hatred, violence…I feel so sick.

I can’t believe what happened to the Reiners. To be as beloved and celebrated as Rob was and to fall at the hands of your own child.
Reflecting on the poor dynamics in my own nuclear family…it makes me so sad for Rob and Michelle.

Trump’s deportation plan would wipe out 394,000 direct care jobs, hurting immigrant AND U.S.-born workers.

Families would lose vital home care. States like NY could lose nearly half their care workforce. Mass deportations = a care crisis. New from @benzipperer.org @domesticworkers.bsky.social
Trump’s deportation plans threaten 400,000 direct care jobs: Older adults and people with disabilities could lose vital in-home support

📽️ WATCH: After a bird flu outbreak tore through Midwestern barns, which led to 18 million hens being killed and a spike in egg prices, the Department of Agriculture didn’t investigate whether the virus was airborne.

But ProPublica did.

In 1993, Trump signed a mortgage for a Florida home, pledging it would be his principal residence. Seven weeks later, he attested a neighboring property would also be his principal residence.

In reality, he does not seem to have lived in either home.
Trump’s Own Mortgages Match His Description of Mortgage Fraud, Records Reveal
The Trump administration has argued that Fed board member Lisa Cook may have committed mortgage fraud by declaring more than one primary residence on her loans. We found Trump once did the very thing ...

Wild that this is only the second most objectionable thing Liam Neeson has done in recent years.
SCOOP: Academy Award-nominee Liam Neeson narrated a recent anti-vaccine documentary that glorifies RFK Jr.’s rise to power.

In the film, Neeson—a UNICEF Goodwill Ambassador—calls the COVID-19 vaccines “dangerous experiments.”

Is it me or does he look…rather unbothered ?
I liked the audible reaction in the courtroom today when the judge in the murder case against Charlie Kirk's alleged killer said he currently has 1,409 cases.

That IS a lot of cases.

I always run into Brad Lander around the neighborhood because he's on his way to help people out; Goldman was supposed to be at a community meeting (of mostly elderly folks!) who had all come out to talk with him, and at the last minute, he FaceTimed in from his car instead, and left the call early.
I've probably photographed Brad Lander more than any other elected in NYC because the dude shows up. He's everywhere, he's incredibly accessible, and he genuinely loves New Yorkers. You can literally go up and talk to him whenever he shows up. Go ahead, try it!

(I have NEVER seen Goldman ANYWHERE.)
