Nice to have a relationship where I can say “we need to take a detour through the park, you’ll see why” and then just hop up on a ledge, walk twenty feet over a pond, grab a thing from a shrine, and have the other person take it totally in stride 💜

I made the Silicon Dawn and I have no idea what the heck TPOT is. I am also definitely not an Internet Rationalist, I generally consider that to be in the same bin of "intellectually smart but emotionally stupid people who use their idea of logic to justify being assholes".

The problem with talking about the history of Postfurry in any "authoritative" way is that it's sort of just a bunch of stuff that a relatively small friends group did, that then got mythologized (and/or sometimes vilifed)

:) i think rationalists lost their way when they forgot about the fun and cool aspects of transhumanism and tried to become all knowing gods, which is not even the easiest kind of god to become
