Many years ago @drewmcweeny.com encouraged me to attend a rare public screening of @thejoedante.bsky.social's THE MOVIE ORGY and it was honestly one of my favorite theatrical experiences of all time. A legendary and massively influential mashup movie, decades ahead of its time.

Trump: "It’s a hellhole right now. And those Somalians should be out of here. They've destroyed our country. And all they do is complain, complain, complain. You have her. She’s always talking about the Constitution provides me with – go back to your own country and figure out your constitution."

Nah I’ll never stop watching his movies. The jolt and rush of good vibes I get from his movies. Pure cinema.
I got tickets for KILL BILL: THE WHOLE BLOODY AFFAIR on Saturday, and I’m excited for it.

But, you know, it’s staring to feel like an Irish wake. Some reminiscing, maybe a little maudlin, some memories and laughs, maybe drink too much, and then we go home, and put our loved one behind us.

Yesterday the President fell asleep, yet again, during a televised fake Cabinet meeting staged so that each of his courtiers could heap praise on him, praise for which he couldn't stay conscious. He woke up just long enough to spew racism. Why is this not being treated as an emergency? >

With The Whole Bloody Affair opening this week, I'm thinking back to the first teaser for Kill Bill, released before the decision was made to split it up into two movies (hence no "Volume" mention at the end). It remains one of my all time favorite trailers.

A movie star vehicle that nails it on every level. A fish-out-of-water musical crime comedy tailored to Whoopi's strengths with laser precision. The irresistible musical numbers & witty comic performances delivered by the entire cast make this one of the true comedy classics of the early 90s for me.

I don’t even know how this happens when a show is filmed 16x9.

I can understand reframing an old show like Friends or Seinfeld but something that was filmed for widescreen?

UPDATE: This actually wasn't HBO Max's fault.

Source tells me incorrect files were delivered to HBO Max. Lionsgate is working on getting them the right files now and those corrected files will be posted as soon as possible.
