I saw someone call Ai a Thneed and I can't stop thinking about it. It's a PERFECT analogy. The Thneed was an all-purpose tool that didn't do anything really useful. It was a fad that did major damage to the environment to make the Onceler a billionare. It left no real lasting impact, only damage.

Let's properly meet Maya!

Maya (she/they) is an ambiguous species of anthropomorphic dog person with bright red curly hair and light grey fur. she wields a crystal knife in one hand and a cane in the other. The cane has a lantern hanging from it with a soul inside.

Maya has visible burned-in anti magic sigils all over her body. She has experimented on herself extensively in an effort to remove them to varying degrees of success. Such experiments also led to her developing crippling back pain and dragon-like eyes that can see perfectly in the dark, but fail to adjust for the day.

For fucks sake they are literally knocking down a part of the White House without permission so Supreme Leader Trump can have a giant gaudy ballroom which he’ll never dance in. Very unsubtle visual metaphor.

Oh god same. Like obviously he’s not a one to one comparison, there’s just a lot of aspects of him I find relatable. I get sad when people legitimately hate on him. I’m alright if they’re meming on him tho, it’s very fun to tease the nerdy blue bird.
