The nitpicking of tiny details was never to better the brand/product/etc, it was always a power-play against the designers/artists they hired. A behavior bourne of ideology, not of necessity.
I feel the clients now using GenAI to do stuff and going "good enough" when they used to nitpick at every last detail is due to them finding out all those nit picky changes take time and work they cant be bothered to put in.

This is actually what pissed me off the most...
All of sudden they don't nitpick or care about the quality when a human being isn't behind it..
Like decades of these people doing "pixel" f*cking but now everything is "good enough" but if any of this work came from a person it would've been trashed
