Storytelling is much better when it has a clear POV. And a consistent POV for your channel, or brand, can help you with a content strategy or instructional plan. It makes you more human, relatable, and trustworthy no matter if your content is educational or entertainment.

If you've made 12 episodes, and they've made 52? Keep going, don't compare yourself to them. Get reps, get practice, and compare your episode 12 to your episode 52.

And you'll almost certainly see progress WAY before 52 methinks.

As we read about in the @podnews.net   linked below, there isn't much human oversight during the creation or review process for much of their generated content (if any at all).

How do we feel about this being the future of the internet...

Your subconscious thinking sustains creativity over a lifetime. You could collaborate carefully with AI, but most people don't seem to be doing so. We're blasting social media with a firehose instead without much thinking or iteration.

I’m very very tired of “living in fear” being lobbed at maskwearers by people who frequently say they can’t wear one because no one else around them is.

Living in fear is ignoring science and endangering lives and your own health because you’re terrified of not fitting in.

It sounds like an amazing work thing :) I love halloween! Have fun!

On the podcast front, there is this list of Halloween themed episodes - but I’m not sure how gory some of the eps are because there are a TON. I do know that mine is not gory/triggering (Grack Public Access - haunted theme) + that the Madison audio drama is comedy genre too. bsky.app/profile/ster...

The framing “it’s unreasonable to ask me to mask” reminds me of climate change discussions - “it’s unreasonable to ask for net zero” etc - bc ppl think of the politics as more “real” than the science. Sometimes things are hard or unfair but reality and science don’t care

New episode out about calculating your words per minute for when you present (or create a character!) and why it matters for what you create.

Iteration is the creativity. How can it work? An example of idea generation for videos and audio dramas. Letting them marinate is GOOD! Maybe the only healthy kinda rumination?? :)

Your audience wants your specific take, weird examples, unique lived experiences, expertise. That's what keeps them coming back to your words. Generated posts could come from the average take of a bunch of other people's voices... at least review fully, and rewrite as yourself if using them.

This process of refinement throughout execution is what makes a creation great. And fun. And human.

The HUMAN creative process. You have more than one idea in a human creative process, in a non-linear fashion. It involves thinking of many ideas, judging which ones have merit, and then iterating on the good ones.

Your first versions will be messy. Your tenth versions will be better. Your hundredth versions will feel natural. The only way through is through.

Keep making things.
Keep iterating.
Keep creating.

To be more human and relatable on camera, you do not need to be overly polished. As more AI content appears online, people will want real human connection even more. Sharing your imperfect experiences and telling real stories is what helps your audience connect with you.

Like so many humans I've met - only in it for whatever they can get & gone as soon as there's a boundary, not there for the human.

And amazing so many say boycotts don't work. Said because they don't want even minor inconvenience?

Do the work. Us Canadians will keep doing the work. For Canadians.

Performing for a camera is different than performing on a stage. A camera is an intimate medium that picks up small details. Your facial expressions can be more subtle and your volume can be lower. You need less exaggeration to connect with your audience.
