Yes! I also dislike them on the back of my neck, especially if any sweat, but a very "me" thing :) Head straps way better.

When I started wearing them for the first time on bikes in cold weather I couldn't believe it wasn't universal already. SO preferable to not have a frozen face in both scenarios, way more practical and comfortable than a scarf. Especially out in rural where I live with all the chimney smoke, too.
