This is an extremely tough subject to even talk about, but Caelan managed to do it with enough snark and humour to relieve the anger and distress it brings up in me, at least somewhat, without undercutting what a truly harmful, violent, and life-destroying practice conversion therapy is.

Its wrong to be misgendered but it was also wrong to say rainbow b-52s are preferable when the picture itself shows them actively dropping bombs. I don't think anyone misunderstands what you mean, but to pretend you didn't say something that victims of imperialism would find offensive is also wrong.

There is never an excuse to deny any trans person their chosen identity, that being said insisting that your community should eschew solidarity with brown people getting exterminated in order to secure their existence is abhorrent in any context.

Restricting the availability of puberty blockers to trans kids but allowing them for cis kids is a blatant violation of NZBORA (1990) and the Human Rights Act (1993).
