My 2 year old best friend is doing a great job associating things he sees in his toys and the real world. He thinks Shinkansen are in SF because I rode them before and that’s where I live.

He also asks “where does this go” when he picks up a train and tries to put it on his mat that only has roads.

Important to remember that not only did we pass #SB79, the biggest transit-oriented upzoning bill ever, we also passed a clean CEQA exemption for new multifamily infill housing.

This is, bar none, the biggest year in state action on housing policy reform in California history. Not even close.

AC Transit's recent Realign service plan estimated hourly costs for a bus at $172/hour, where $343k would mean 2000 service hours.

A single bus running once an hour each way from Caltrain to the park (a twenty minute trip, with layover time) comes out to 1250 service hours.

Just run the bus!

It has boggled my mind since I was sixteen that the moral hazard of driving does not weigh on literally everyone all the time.

I hate it! I don't want to risk ruining or ending someone's life just to get to the damn grocery store, but where I live, I have to, every day.

You can be the safest, most attentive driver in the world and still pose a massive risk to other road users. That’s because cars and car dependency are inherently dangerous.

This doesn’t mean you’re a bad person if you drive, but I do think that drivers should acknowledge their role in this system.
