Waid already did this with Doom, did it much more effectively, and I didn't agree with it then, either. Doom isn't a sociopath, he just wishes he was one. That's half the fun of the character imo, he does bad things with a fully functional conscience and has to justify as he goes.

One World Under Doom has been the worst fucking thing I've seen done to a character since House of M slaughtered Wanda Maximoff's character. Jfc. Took an interesting, nuanced character and flattened him into a boring-ass, one-note villain.

Looking at DC at this point. I've had enough.

I mean, I figure it's a combo of Reed’s daddy issues and the very obvious homoerotic tension between the two of them since day one, but does Victor understand that? Guy with the emotional intelligence of a grapefruit? I honestly don't know.

If we ever get a writer ballsy enough to explore that dynamic, I really want an answer to what it is in Reed’s head that 1000% wants to follow where Victor leads.
