Good morning from a hospital basement.
We left early "just in case", so unless someone in front of me doesn't turn up I'll have an hour's wait

Pick up in 5 minutes. So glad a friend is driving me. I am a bit shaky

I took this and 2 smaller parcels to the local drop off after phoning to check that they accept this size.
Their QR code reader didn't recognise any of the codes. They said to go to Spar. Drove there, asked if they do Royal Mail. The guy was vague, scanned the code and said "no."

In case you have missed my recent rants about not being told about an abnormal cancer follow up scan:
The repeat ultrasound scan +/- a needle biopsy (depending on the scan result) is tomorrow at 10 am and I expect you all to cross fingers and toes!!!

I have just lied to my mother and said that I am going to work tomorrow morning 😐.
Why she even asked what I am doing tomorrow morning I don't know

Get vaccinated if you can!
We were supposed to host 15 people today but 11 has the flu so all plans are cancelled.

But I’m so very lucky to never worry about where my next meal will come from.

"My" pharmacy employs a guy I really like. He used to work at a post office and now in this pharmacy/post office combination.
He is very bright, but when I overheard him giving advice on drugs today I thought: This is the brave new world. A few months apprenticeship and you are an expert

In the social context, when somebody replies that a plan I propose is "fine" I always wonder whether that really means "I can put up with that."

Maybe the next generation will set its sights on solving systemic problems instead of “My burrito is at a restaurant, but I’m all cozy here so, can a guy with a medical degree from another country bring it to me.” We’ve got that covered, and then some.

When West Germans still shit on East Germans, does that count as racism?

Email returned as not delivered. Phoned reception. "Can you give me your email address again?"
Receptionist: "Scheiße, I am only temporary and started yesterday. No idea."

Dad's appointment was at 8 am. 9 am over there now, not seen yet.
His prostate won't be impressed.
I have written to dad's cardiologist with the relevant info for his appointment tomorrow.
It's like a second job, but so worth it.

The good thing about teams meetings is that you don't have to defrost your car for them
We are going to have a frosty night

I bumped into my social worker friend who interestingly looks like my OT friend: a cuddly, curly redhead.
She told me that she doesn't hibernate her tortoise, but if she wanted to breed he would have to as that starts their fertility cycle.
You need a license to breed tortoises.

Guy sits on lower level of bridge ready to jump.
Old guy pees from the footpath on the bridge - on the guy. He hadn't seen him.
"Sorry, my prostate." Clever conversation initiated by old guy. "Give me your coat and purse, they would be wasted..."
Guy climbs up.
