Correct me if I’m wrong, but wasn’t the appeal to have a savage breast fighting for the Democrats, instead of the usual wimps and altakockers? Someone who wasn’t the current “deeply concerned” senator from Maine?
This is the risk you take with amateur politicians, unfortunately— not knowing how to navigate to his advantage.

In this episode, rural organizer Matt Hildreth says he's never seen a confluence of policies come together to screw rural America quite this badly. Put all this together and it's a "perfect storm," he says. Great stuff from him here:
Trump is screwing his voters so badly:

*tariffs wrecking soybean markets abroad
*Medicaid cuts killing rural hospitals
*ACA subsidies lapsing for working class
*ICE decimating ag workforce
*farmers furious at Argentine beef imports

On the pod, we dig into all of it:

Trump Is Screwing His Voters So Badly That It Shocked This MAGA Farmer

my woke take is that entirely too many people feel entitled to the benefits of a social contract while not feeling bound by the responsibilities of said contract
It’s a bit tough to avoid when you have three members of the Weasley family here as media guests. And it’s not like they can rip their faces off.

The data comes from publishers. The problem is that many distributors (including Ingram, the biggest) have as few as three slots for contributors— obviously not designed with comics or anthologies in mind at the time.
Again: not the way databases work. If a field is required, it’s for ALL entries. Ex: Writer is required, Letterer isn’t. Forcing it to be required is bad as not all comics have letterers or it’s unknown.

Also: COMET is data standards for pub, distro & sales. For credits, comics.org is better.
Grand Comics Database
The GCD is building the most comprehensive comics database. It is fully searchable and includes data on creator credits, story details, or other publication details for comic books worldwide.
comics.org
You may not understand how databases work. If a field is required, it MUST be filled for ALL entries.

Reprint is a Y/N field. Every book is either a reprint or it isn’t.
You’re misreading. That list is for REQUIRED fields. There are 67 Core Data fields, but only 28 of them are required. Translator is not a required field because not every book has one.
1. COMET isn’t a company, it’s a working group inside ComicsPro, the comics retailer organization.

2. Translator is already part of the COMET standard. Row 113 here. docs.google.com/spreadsheets...

Thanks for your interest.

Had a fun afternoon walking around #NYCC2025 with @hauman.bsky.social — talked with @david-mack.bsky.social (Kabuki creator), met Kyle Baker and got a signed hardcover of his early masterpiece WHY I HATE SATURN, and bought an Enterprise miniature at Fanhome. Resting now before my signing at 5PM.
