When I said we weren't here to be disappointed with Labour but to replace them. I meant it.

Labour is telling you VERY LOUDLY who to vote for if you value human rights. And it's definitely NOT LABOUR.
goodlawproject.org
Woah! So Labour's position really is, 'telling us off for breaching human rights undermines the case for human rights'? Proper Trumpian stuff from Labour's answer to Suella Braverman.

If all else fails abd the bottom is about to fall out of your market, I guess try using sex to sell it?!

What do you base your theory that people say they are autistic when they aren't on, exactly?
halfironmum.bsky.social
Not doing very well today. Not sure why but mental health v poor. Am trying to take some rest and that could be it. Plus anxiety about starting a new role, possibly.

The utter stupidity of this because GPs are allowed to get away with discrimination against trans people is one of the many reasons why gender services have an avg 25 year wait to a first appointment.

Going to get my NHS HRT renewal today. To do that I'll walk past my GP surgery, get on a train to glasgow, walk through the city centre, meet a pharmacist, get a train back, walk past my GP again, wait for the prescription to come by post, then take it to the pharmacy next to my GP.

All because prescribing a patch or pill and occasionally checking bloods is supposedly beyond the competence of my entire GP surgery (although they'd do it happily if I weren't trans). Fucking joke of a system, a deliberately demeaning waste of time.

If anyone needs me I will be in the museum, lying down next to the bog bodies.
Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?
2? Questions
I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?

Thank you - now cuddled up with my dog and a book!

🚨This is an emergency🚨

This Government is currently sitting on an EHRC Code of Practice that will lead to the segregation and exclusion of trans people in public life.

Yup, hyper focus has well and truly set in!! Forcing myself to sit now and hopefully not do much else for the rest of the day!!

Yeah, that's my plan, maybe even a cheeky nap in the garden chair - but I have a tendency to go hyper focus on things as a deadline approaches - even though the "deadline" is going back to work it's still a risk!

The idea that she’s problematic or even ‘controversial’ hasn’t really broken through, so the not-very-online people they encounter just get excited at the mention of a Harry Potter project rather than pulling a face, and agents etc assure them that 99% of people are fine with it

What are your theories as to why nominally 'liberal' people like Simon Pegg and Matt Berry are willing to work with Rowling?

My last week off before I start my new job. Hoping to spend some time in the garden and doing some more sorting out in the house but reminding myself I *must* also make time for rest - deeper burn out is my big worry with the new role.
