This. The pretence that this is out of their hands because the Supreme Court ruled is a nonsense. They are a legislative body. When the legislation doesn't do what they want it to do, they fix it. They are either proud transphobes or cowards. Possibly both.
A Labour government passed the Equality Act. A Labour government was in power when the Supreme Court interpreted it to not mean what ministers at the time were clear it was intended to mean. The Labour government response should have been to legislate to fix it. Not doing so was a cowardly betrayal.

In London today. When I have to be in London I always get my clothes out the night before - less to think about!
