the source cited was an interview he did for a kamen rider magazine. he said it was a bike stunt on sand and the kick stand pierced his leg, leaving a permanent scar

i said this then i read he did a couple of the in-suit riderman bike stunts as they only had one suit at the time, hurting his leg as a result. toei learning from past mistakes, they’ve heard of it
