the 6-7 phenomenon is in no way different from any other catchphrase that kids have yelled out at any point in the last hundred years, there's no daylight between that and when i was in high school, the year straight where every guy kept yelling "i'm rick james bitch"

Why on earth do all of my socks get holes in their soles in the exact same spot at the same time?

(Because I'm a neurospicy who intentionally rotates through them so they wear evenly, and I do the toe-walking thing at home constantly, probably)

Being neurotypical means thinking going back to the real world at the end of a portal fantasy is the Good Ending. Couldn't be me. I'd throw myself into every mirror to get back to Wonderland.

Furries are genuinely incredible, some of the most passionate supporters of the arts out there. <3
This fandom has a reputation for being "suspiciously wealthy" but the truth is most furries just love and value art and people so much that they want to use their money for art and supporting artists so they can make a living doing what they love. It's a cycle of genuine passion I think.

I visited my friend last week and to my surprise, they told me that the kid I drew this dinosaur illustration for is still drawing now and then to this day!

That made my day.

Keep being creative, you can inspire the next generation about the value and love of being creative ❤️

I been invited to a friend's place and one kid was doing AI on their tablet. Told them that it's bad and the father asked me why. Explained and also said real art have more soul.

He wanted to make a dinosaur playing basket-ball, I drew this for him. They loved it so much, the dad paid me in the end

You scraped the entirety of the internet to create something that "talked" and you thought you'd be protected from the spicy bits?
New! We worked with the Public Interest Research Group to test a bunch of LLM-driven toys ahead of the Christmas. That sexual talking teddy bear wasn't a one-off; it turns out disturbing behavior is deeply built into these toys across the board.
AI toys for kids talk about sex and issue Chinese Communist Party talking points, tests show
New research from Public Interest Research Group and tests conducted by NBC News found that a wide range of AI toys have loose guardrails.

Using Copilot to summarize an email is an insult to the person who wrote it. A human being took the time & effort to put specific words into a specific order to communicate specific thoughts & feelings to you, and you toss it into a blender and believe whatever the blender says they must have meant.

American Psycho.

It is an excellent movie! Well made, well performed, important stuff going on in it, I have zero complaints about what I saw on screen. Absolutely worth experiencing.

But oh my god. American Psycho. I don't know if I'll be okay if I experience that again.
Never mind movies you’ve watched multiple times, name a movie you’ve watched once and would never watch again.

Why yes, I will delete and repost because I mistakenly used one kind of interrobang (!?) instead of the other kind of interrobang (?!)

I do not, nor will I ever, believe that a university education should only focus solely on what you are aiming for as a career.

I do believe however that most careers should have a trade school option that is exactly that, and that all education should be free.
And No more treating trades as lesser

Dear Santa,

For Christmas this year, I wish to know that I'll live long enough to see Sam Altman tried at the Hague for crimes against humanity.

Anyway, I've watched the first couple episodes of Pluribus and I am absolutely in love with it.

"Sense8 meets The Prisoner" by a showrunner who is vehemently anti-AI? Hell yeah, how could this possibly not be my new autistic hyperfixation

Does anyone else feel like the billionaire companies behind generative AI are literally just villains from a Captain Planet episode?
December 9, 2025 at 10:09 PM
You have every right to refuse to use generative AI systems as part of your job.

You will not damage your working relationships just by saying no and giving your reasons. The damage is done when people repeatedly pressure you to change your mind and normalize something that is against your values.

It's been a year since I got my Emotional Support Badger! I won them in last year's MFF charity auction.

They support me emotionally by biting anyone who hurts my feelings.

My legal name isn't unique and isn't one I chose for myself (though there's nothing wrong with it). The one I chose for myself more than two decades ago *is* unique and the one my closest friends use for me. Not clear why the latter ought to be less 'real' than the former.
It is amazing how some people just cannot understand the concept of a consistent, traceable pseudonymous identity.

That furries, by virtue of being furries, are nothing but "anonymous trolls"

like, fuck's sake, this presentation is more honest than our goddamn "bank names" lmao.
Also as I told Talib, I do not go in for the worldview that says people have only one "real" name, and also "Malachite Tiger" or some variation on it is the *least* anonymous name for me to go by. The one the largest number of people would know me by.
My government name would be *more* anonymous.
