Exciting morning! I held my first press conference as Mayor-elect. Thank you to all who came out and asked questions about the election results, transition team planning, and pertinent issues like affordable housing and homelessness.
I plan to be a Mayor for everyone and I promise to never forget who I work for: you, the voters, my neighbors.
I am so grateful for all the ways that you ou have showed for this campaign. We truly have run a campaign by and for Somerville residents.

I know that there are challenges ahead, but I also know that together Somerville will face those challenges as a unified, resilient community.
Earlier this evening, I got a call from my friend and colleague Willie Burnley Jr, graciously conceding the Somerville mayoral race. I take great price in this race, running alongside someone I respect enormously, and I am grateful for all Willie has done for Somerville residents.
Thank you, Somerville. I’m enormously proud to be your Mayor-elect. Tonight, we showed that a people-powered campaign can be rooted in our progressive values and also grounded in the practical solutions that Somerville residents deserve.
Election Day stops #7, #8, #9 and #10!

Dropping by local businesses is a special part of Election Day for me. We’ve stopped by a tiny Turns Paperie, Income Tax Plus, Index Vinyl, and Carolicious.
Election Day stop #7!

Stopped by the Winter Hill School bakery sale at the Presbyterian Church. If you’re able, please support their important cause!

Election Day stop #6!

Here’s a peak behind the scenes of Election Day - I swung back to our campaign HQ where drivers and canvassers are coming in and out, phone bankers and text bankers are doing shifts on zoom, and campaign staffers are making sure volunteers across the city are taken care of.
Election Day stop #5!

Today’s a chilly one - stopped by my local spot Winter Hill Brewing Company for a hot tea. Stay warm out there folks!

Great morning with the family - swung by the Healey School bake sale for some treats. If you have a chance, check it out!
Election day stop #3!

You never get over the surreal feeling of voting for yourself. My wife Cathy and I voted at our local polling place, the Healey School.

Make sure you get out to vote today!
Thanks to Somerville Firefighters Local 76 and the IAFF for coming out in Ward 6!
Stop #2! Visiting with sign holders at West Somerville Neighborhood School - thanks for being out here!

First stop of Election Day! Grabbing breakfast at Magnificent Muffins & Bagel at Teele Square where I met with Christine Hall Brothers. Going to be a great day!
After nearly eight months of knocking doors and nearly 10,000 doors knocked, tonight was my final canvassing shift. Now we vote!
Tomorrow is Election Day!!!

Make sure your voice is heard and your vote is counted. Everyone should have a plan to vote, including what time to vote, where to go, and how to get there.

Made a new friend this morning!
Joe is now the fourth former Somerville mayor to endorse our campaign. These leaders know what this job demands because they’ve done it themselves, and their support is a powerful vote of confidence in my ability to deliver for Somerville.
I am incredibly honored and excited to announce the endorsement of former Mayor Joe Curtatone, who led Somerville for 18 years.
Fantastic morning standout in Magoun Square with IBEW 2222! I’m so honored to have their endorsement, and so happy to have them out showing their support ahead of Election Day tomorrow.
Dropped by Veterans Memorial Skating Rink to check out Somerville Youth Hockey Association’s Learn to Skate program.

It was amazing to see everything SYHA is doing to bring in new families to hockey and to make sure the sport is affordable for everyone. Thanks for having me!
