A little ramble on youth sport and it's delivery. When I talk about obliquity, I mean to get away from the rigid linearity that we continue to embrace. We generally think "we need to build future prospects!" (IE "professionals"). The words steer our beliefs and delivery.
Say, when did the Citizens United ruling happen again? The entire system is bought and sold at the whims of billionaires. Both parties are beholden to them, but the Republicans just outright grease the skids for them to buy in and run the show. Cant fix this system until that ruling is overturned.
We spent a year investigating billionaires for @washingtonpost.com.

We found: the wealthiest 100 Americans gave $1.1 billion to influence the 2024 elections — 140x more than they did in 2000. And almost all of that giving boosted Republicans.

It appears Section 33 of the Canadian Charter of Rights and Freedom (the notwithstanding clause) is a dangerous tool in the age of populism and extremist political agendas. Seems Pierre Trudeau was right.

It certainly appears that the United States government is run by neo-Nazis.
Exclusive: The U.S. Coast Guard will no longer classify the swastika, nooses and the Confederate flag as hate symbols.

The military service drafted a new policy that classifies them as “potentially divisive.”

Absolutely incredible; after shooting Marimar Martinez 5 times and arresting her on claims that she rammed them and pulled a gun, prosecutors have now moved to dismiss ALL criminal charges against her and her codefendant.
New: the govt has moved to dismiss its assault case against Marimar Martinez and Anthony Ian Santos Ruiz, two people accused of "box[ing] in" a Border Patrol vehicle in Chicago on Oct. 4.

One agent shot Martinez, with evidence presented to the court that he later bragged about in text messages.

Dallas Brodie and Ine BC, everybody. One BC for white supremacists maybe. What a vile little troll she is. Go do something somewhat productive with your time for once.
One BC's Dallas Brodie is at it again, introducing a bill that would end BC observing Truth and Reconciliation Day as a holiday

Her introduction is full of residential school and genocide denialism, revisionist history and colonial sentiment

Joe Rogan and Theo Von slam DHS for using Von's image in a video promoting deportation:

"I was like, oh my God, what the fuck are they doing? That's not how you envision the government."

"They were making, like, deportation hype videos with trap beats and shit. What are we doing? It's idiocracy."

Four giants control 80% of meat processing.

A handful of companies control the pharmaceutical industry.

The evidence of corporate concentration is everywhere.
