By a vote of 76-23, S 1071 passes the motion to proceed to the motion to concur. Won't know who voted for this until the roll call is uploaded, but safe to say it passed with the support of at least 24 members of the Democratic caucus. Yes. Doubtless video gets more fans faster, but it's not a medium I ever want to work in. I hate being on camera, even for small things. Absolutely never joining booktok or any other trendy video format. & I hate that this is the newest fad.
I agree that it’s 100% true that the eyeballs are all on short form video - and man, it’s still really depressing how the necessity of Doing Video nowadays seriously disadvantages people who aren’t conventionally attractive (or who just genuinely can’t stand being on camera)
The one thing I keep thinking about is how much direct to camera stuff rewards physical attractiveness. I mean, that's gotta be part of the reason these wellness influencers are successful, right? And you're competing for eyeballs with them.
