Update: heard back from fest organizers; they weren't happy to hear a vendor was selling AI shit & are looking at updating policy for next year. Huzzah!

With a sane society, all genAI crap would already be banned, its pushers in jail for theft & environmental destruction. The least any convention of festival should do at this point is kick out anyone found using it & never invite them back.

Pointed out genAi is theft, an insult to actual artists & artisans, & HIGHLY insulting to pagans like me who try to honor the earth, not destroy it to make a buck. No shortage of obvious pagans, Wiccans, & non-xtians in attendance at the fest. No shortage of REAL artists. Ban anyone using it. /3

Bringing genAI slop to a festival celebrating a pagan tradition, at which dozens of actual artists were hustling to sell their handmade work, is offensive on multiple levels. I've asked the organizers to ban all AI "art" going forward, just as many other fests & conventions already have. /2
