Just to say, if you know someone parenting a kid alone, especially a small one, see if you can buy a present that the kid can give to their parent. Even take the kid shopping so they can choose. It's not even about the money - the parent might happily pay for someone else to do this kindness.

My husband is a first responder and a municipally owned vehicles sits in front of our house. I don’t even want to know how mad he’d get. I’m allowed to move it in and out of the driveway as necessary and even then I check with him first.
NEW JERSEY — bonkers… the husband of an ICE agent uses her marked car to pretend to be Homeland Security and respond to a call HE MADE HIMSELF… with a gun and sirens and everything.
