Any citizens in foreign prison still alive immediately brought back home. Use all manner of political pressure to get them back.
gojiragon.bsky.social
Also, a THOROUGH fine toothed comb over of detention facilities and deportations. If ANY of these people have been found to have been killed or tortured, that’s when you bring out the big “crimes against humanity” charges.

Should there be an electoral future, they really should go full Nuremberg trial. Instead of doing it on an individual basis, they should group together ice officers who’ve committed the same kind of crime. If they can’t do that, then the officers who partook in operations together get grouped.

As a fellow Godzilla fan should.

The new Monsterverse posters are fire.

The “firebombing a Walmart” tweet rings true.

The could be like Luigi and prove that what they’re doing is not a useless action, but nope!

Once again, they suggest fire bombing a Walmart and then not fire bomb a Walmart

Now, I admit, it is far from a great strategy, and I need more time to think thoroughly of what the actual full steps would be, but it’s a start of a good framework I think of what should be accomplished.
gojiragon.bsky.social
So right now, if I were American, my strategy would be this:
1. keep voting for the party of opposing fascism
2. Push for younger politicians for the party who want to change things as hard and as often as you can.
3. Push for THEM to legislate authoritarianist extremism out of politics.

Indonesia, Madagascar Nepal… while they have a variety of reasons for their own protest, one of the common elements of all three is a complacent geriatric class of people who are too frightened to give up their current comfortability of their of jobs to fix the world.
gojiragon.bsky.social
This is why Mamdani is so so important. If we want any advancement at all in American politics, we must get a new much much younger group of politicians.
gojiragon.bsky.social
We would have to push our leaders through other means such as protest to pass laws that bans extremism without fundamentally impacting our fundamental democratic freedoms, which is extremely difficult to say the least. We would basically have to elect a young energetic government that works nonstop.

I get what they’re saying. If they stay authoritarian forever, voting for them would not be enough.
It certainly a major part that cannot be ignored under any circumstances, but it’s just one part.

I also suspect he might’ve muted me. I don’t know, doesn’t seem to like to reply to the smaller accounts.
I just wanna see what he legitimately thinks. I want to be certain this is what he’s actually offering.
gojiragon.bsky.social
You’ve done very little to offer an actual alternative.
gojiragon.bsky.social
He’s factually not.

… Who’s gonna fill in his seat, his office shirt b/o? Or are they expecting his (likely) waterlogged corpse to saunter out of the ocean and sit in his office chair and start working if he wins?
gojiragon.bsky.social
I would find weird it that this is what’s considered sane, but then again, Americans. Being crazy and declaring yourself sane as practically the new norm down there.

And I know crazy, I’m Canadian. At least we’re honest about it.
gojiragon.bsky.social
This person has a really strange time answering basically none of what you asked because… humor?
gojiragon.bsky.social
The humour being… He lied about something that he seems unclear about and you won’t share? What? Where’s the logic?
Also, Where IS the lie? Answer the question.

I also think this was due to pervasive Japanophobia from the mid-80s to the late 90s, when Japan became the world's largest economy (and the United States has big insecurities about non-white countries being better than them). Most positive portrayal of Japanese culture (even if wrong) was targeted.

Outlasting fascism is a war of attrition. And one of the best ways to do that is to make it clear how it's all based on image, projecting strength rather than HAVING strength.

And those cute inflatable frogs having a party are doing a good job of making it clear just how weak these vain fucks are.
gojiragon.bsky.social
It's why the Nazis and fascist Italy collapsed 5 years after starting a war. All of their tactics were built on either torturing their enemy (and thus wasting everything) or using as many resources as they could to take something, because they assume they can always get more even if they couldn't.
gojiragon.bsky.social
Fascism is a faux-strong man ideology and demands faux-strong man tactics. Like strongarming. Or Blitzkrieg.
It requires using all of your strength at once to hit someone as hard as you can, regardless of readiness or strategy. It is not a system built on perseverance.
