Will people ever get that we either all have rights, or we all are at danger? Regardless of gender, sexuality, ethnicity, disability, immigration status or whatever the fuck? If you vote for a gov't that excludes people, the goalpost can shift to exclude you at some point, too.
Probably should start scribbling sailor moon characters again. It's always been such a nice brain reset.
Damn dude idk why but I'm 3 semesters in and I feel like I've never been this BAD at drawing. It really feels like I became worse, not better. I know it's just my upstairs jelly acting up but it's tough believing in myself sometimes.

The absolute most annoying my brain puts me through on a daily basis is this:

🧠: Something VERY wrong
🦥: Why
🧠: Idk
🦥: Need snack?
🧠: No
🦥: Nap under weighted blankie?
🧠: No
🦥: Green tea?
🧠: No
🦥: Cuddle fluffpotato?
🧠: No
🦥: Hug bear?
🧠: No
🦥: Open window?
🧠: No
🦥: sigh

Wow, okay, just watched someone flatten “you have to tolerate discomfort when learning how to create” to “gatekeeping”.

It’s not gatekeeping. It’s realistic. If you want to produce an evocative image quick without going through the process of practicing, you license stock art.

Tonight Askasleikir (Bowl Licker), the 6th of Iceland's 13 Yule Lads, comes down from the mountains. He likes to hide under beds and steal used bowls to lick them clean.

Children leave their shoes out in the window for him, he gives the good ones a small gift or a treat, the bad ones get a potato.

Every writer who generates a slop image for their work is a class traitor.

"I can't afford a visual artist"

So your solution is stabbing artists in the back? Stealing from them?

Furthermore, slop-generated imagery suggests slop-generated writing. That's how you're presenting yourself.

i guarantee your book will look infinitely more appealing if you find some public domain artwork you like (there are tons of places to find high res public domain art and photos) and slap a cool (free?) font over it

Imagine the possibilities! Chris from New York asks what to write his next erotica novel about. 50 random fanfic writers worldwide get pinged into a secret conclave. An unclear amount of time later finally pink smoke comes out some special chimney in Den Haag and the answer emerges:

Orc penises.
Those people have never been in the same room with a bunch of fanfic writers and it shows.

You know what we need? An idea council. Like jury duty but for fanfic writers. Some random Joe in Wisconsin wants to know what business to found? The council has spoken. The answer is 3 rats in a trenchcoat.

Usually I'm fairly sure I'm at least a person who tries to be good.
But sometimes? Sometimes I wonder what would happen if someone would use AI to generate huge amounts of content that openly bullies their CEOs, and blasts it everywhere? A queer can dream.

That new "8 or 10 episodes per season" format annoys me to no end. So much lost potential. When I see a new series with only 1 or 2 seasons that have only 8-10 episodes, I just don't watch it unless someone DRAGS me there kicking and screaming and feeds me snacks. It always feels rushed.

🥲😢 Those have a tear under their eyes, they mean something is sad/frustrating.

😪 This has a booger bubble come out of its nose while sleeping. It's like making a snoring sound when something bores you.

Please don't reply 😪 when someone tells you something sad. I beg you. 🥲

I learnt how to draw when I was 30 through free ressources and tips online. Back then I had no skill, no money, I was suicidal and my health issues prevented me from even leaving my fucking bed.
What's preventing you from creating is your own greed, pride and laziness.

It took 2,5 months but it finally happened. A Dr. suggested that my tonic pupil and central nervous system symptoms are just psychosomatic. Went to my favourite pharmacist to gossip and she rolled her eyes at that bs.
Don't get me wrong, of course psychosomatic symptoms are to be taken seriously.
