My wife, playing video games: "A rock. I fucking LOVE rocks."
🤝 I have a rain app on my phone because I also cannot sleep in absolute silence. Shit, even my one-year-old has a rain machine in her room.

In Reno's defense, Shinra would do all that.

All. That.

Suffering is not a prerequisite for making art. ❤️
Brown noise, not the Brown Note! 😂

I specify brown noise because I'm actually a noise snob; white noise is too high-pitched and makes my brain freak out, and pink noise is okay but not as deep as brown. If there are other colors of noise, I don't know them. Mostly I like rain, though.
Oh no, I'm terrible when it comes to this because my go-to no-vocals music is either wild fiddle jams or pensive piano+violin pieces because I'm secretly an old man. But I also sometimes use rain/brown noise/binaural tones if absolutely nothing else will do.

You cannot tag perfectly for both inclusion (I want this as my main ship, I want this kink front-and-centre) and exclusion (I'm triggered by even a mention of this kink, I hate this ship and don't want it even in the background) and we should stop pretending you can.
It's true and needs to be said.
The Beast of Gévaudan is my Roman Empire.
just like how it wouldn't close an already-healed piercing.

I think it might be hard to compare a potion or ether to a real-life product, but easier to describe how they make you feel. Ether = more focused, potion = less pain, more energy.
But tattoos aren't really an ongoing "wound" to be healed, they're a deposit of nonreactive pigment molecules that are too big for the immune system to break down and therefore mostly get ignored, so I don't think healing magic would make tattoos fade,
(Interesting note: Ladies in the 18th and 19th century would inhale the smoke from a burning feather as a fainting remedy, and what is phoenix down but the feather of a fiery bird?)
I think there's also the important distinction of being knocked out in a fight and outright killed. That's why Phoenix Down works in battle but not outside of it. It's like smelling salts.

Think of me as a fairy godparent, here to encourage you to love yourself and have a good relationship with the writing process.

And by fairy, I do of course mean queer. 🌈
And I do love the idea of there being aftereffects to all of them, robbing Peter to pay Paul.
Maybe HP is a representation of physical stamina whereas MP is more like mental stamina? Your ability to physically persevere through pain vs. your ability to concentrate in battle. Potions fix physical fatigue, Cure addresses injuries, and ether sharpens your focus when it starts to slip.
(But that also depends on whether you HC healing from the inside out, which would be more likely to expel debris, or outside in, which would be more likely to trap it.)
I also think there might be a risk of trapping bacteria/debris when healing open wounds, which means healing in the middle of battle would mean weighing the pros and cons of being able to finish the battle while potentially dealing with infection later.
an expert, but I know enough to know that tampering with it with magic probably wouldn't help. And I do HC Cure as a full-body experience unless someone is particularly gifted, so yes, if theres a risk of broken bones or spinal injuries, you'd want to avoid using magic on that person, period.
My HC for using Cure on a broken bone or a spinal injury is that the bone could heal wrong if not set properly. As for spinal injuries, there is SO MUCH that can go wrong. Pinched nerves, fused discs...the human spine is a paradoxical and complex thing when it comes to injuries; I'm by no means
Talking about HCs is a type of brainstorming, and brainstorming is paet of writing, even if it doesn't directly equal words on page. It serves to fill the tank and leads to more motivation, better ideas, and more creativity down the line.
Ooh! You just reminded me of a fantastic in-depth analysis of Tseng’s character arcs throughout the compilation.
