I think he suffers because he's been marketed as a franchise player but he's just ... a guy. If the Cubs had put actual stars around him, no one would spend as much time thinking about Ian Happ. (None of this is his fault, of course).
That's a nice leadoff single by Kyle Tucker, who I'll spend the next 20 years periodically remembering like, "Oh yeah he played for the Cubs for a year and seemed like he hated it."
