I wanted to share probably the most important sermon I’ve given and it’s while I’m being arrested. It’s torture pure and simple what happens at #Broadview. I’m ok, though I was thrown to the ground and choked with my pectoral cross. A review of the video shows I was peaceful - did I deserve this?

I’ll bring🍿to watch the trials. Prison is exactly where these traitors belong.

Internationally, as well. I’m supposed to return to the US tomorrow, but it’s still unclear whether my international flight will be impacted. Even if I make it back to the US, it’s unclear whether my connecting flight will be impacted.

If I get stuck in Houston, will I have to drive to Seattle?
I sure hope Democrats are out telling everyone with a microphone that the Trump administration is about to strand tens of thousands of travelers across the country.

Dear United Airlines,

Thank you for making me realize what truly terrible inflight WiFi is. I sincerely apologize for ever complaining about Delta’s WiFi.

I’m glad I brought dead tree based documents to read on this trip.

I took a minute to update my tracking on the Travelers Century Club spreadsheet. Nicaragua will be my 28th country and 34th country + territory according to their tracking rubric.

With all of my travel, I’m still only 1/3 of the way to 100 countries/territories…

Nicaragua will be the fourth country I’ve visited for the first time in 2025 following Iceland, Thailand, and Türkiye.

I love this, except for the fact that Stephen Miller looks like Emil Bove in this image.

I recently hired a genealogy researcher in Poland to help me learn more about my paternal grandfather's family tree. Today I received documents from the researcher that trace my family tree back to my 5x-great grandparents who lived in Poland in the early 19th century...

Mind. Blown.

My body picked the wrong day to be sick. Unfortunately, I’m not going to make it to the #NoKings protest in Seattle today.

I stand in solidarity with those protesting the fascist takeover of the USA even though I am unable to attend in person. #resist

Today’s the first day of bike commuting to my office.

Access to the bike cage? ✅
Access to the locker room/showers? ❌
Social engineering to gain access to the locker room/showers to I don’t show up at work a hot sweaty mess? ✅✅

I truly forgot how much I enjoy starting my day riding to work.

My first seven years in Seattle I biked to work most days. I stopped riding due to an unrelated injury that kept me off bikes for a couple of years. I started cycling again for fun during COVID, but I never resumed commuting by bike. Until now.

I’m so happy that we released these papers for comments. I look forward to seeing the feedback as we work toward finalizing this work.

Thanks again to my amazing partners, @sphcow.bsky.social and @mike-kiser.bsky.social, and the members of the OIDF DADE CG for their help delivering this work!

Mission to Boise complete. I picked up my new car in Boise this morning and drove it 500 miles back home to Seattle. And I had tacos.

All in all, a successful day and a great roadtrip across three states.

This is the playbook, folks.

If you're not paying attention now and doing something about it, then you're going to have to sit down the rest of your life because democracy is being taken away.

Do not be quiet in this moment.

People missing an important point about folks getting fired for whatever they said about Charlie Kirk: Americans are being conditioned to be snitches on their fellow citizens who don’t toe a party line on what is “allowed” to be expressed. And employers are going along. It’s the new secret police

This man will not be fired for calling for the murder of American citizens, yet multiple journalists/reporters/teachers lost their job for accurately reporting things Charlie Kirk actually said and stood for.

But it’s the “violent left” that’s the problem

Losing my goddamned mind.

We can condemn political violence without valorizing a destructive, hateful bigot.
September 11, 2025 at 10:42 AM
@joycewhitevance.bsky.social nails it:

"If there is a floor for democracy, it is condemning political violence[...]. They make their hypocrisy bare when they condemn attacks on Trump and tonight’s violent murder of Charlie Kirk, but not on people who they don’t consider part of their tribe."
How do we honor our own principles without giving people who only condemn political violence when it affects their tribe a pass? I tried to explain my views here. substack.com/home/post/p-...
On Political Violence
Tonight, people from across the political spectrum should be joining together to condemn political violence, no matter who the target is.
