Been working on a little prototype over the last month inspired by cave exploration in Minecraft. In it, you descend into an abandoned space colony to explore. You have relays, which when connected relay both power and oxygen. Your own oxygen is limited, but is restored when you are near a relay.

If we can only have art from people who "aren't in it for the money" that means we can only have art from privileged middle-class dilettantes. Making art being a viable career is responsible for nearly all worthwhile art, and if it's not a viable career any more we will get drastically less of it.

Time to post one of my favorite old illustrations. :)
I created it for a group show resolving around botanical visuals. During this time I read a lot about the ISS and how they grew plants in there to test botanical behavior, which also sparked dreams about deep space travels.

If you're looking for retro textures I can really recommend @strideh.bsky.social's work! They offer three free packs and a premium one. They look really sharp, have a true Quake-feeling, can be used in commercial projects and were made without use of AI!
