Hi Bluesky!

I make null/void deathscapes and sunken monuments to mankind's eternal hubris

I also made a retro-futuristic cyberpunk game, Jazzpunk
retrogame shopping in europe remains very complicated due to the PAL region thing. its fascinating how HDMI eventually solved this region issue, but for anything older that damn 50/60hz differential remains a chasm of interoperability

I use gamesharks, trainers and other hacks to bypass the necessity of inventory management, one of my more hated game tropes
You can tell the real freaks by how well organised their survival horror inventory is 👌🏻

The fact that no one outside of DMA could see the potential of something as blatantly futuristic as GTA3 shows just how myopic and weak-willed all of the suits, publishers and executives are in the gaming space. anyone with a soul could see this was special

looking at the guts of Rolands new TR-1000 drum machine and seeing maybe $200-300 in parts. conventional opamps, transistors, a few microcontrollers, standard knobs/pots and tiny display.

considering they're selling these for $2700 USD (2744,40 €) thats a crazy mark-up

I was home from school, sick with the flu, and decided to try installing Worldcraft (Hammer) again, after failing to get it working previously.

back before the internet was full of tutorials it was very hard to understand how to make software like that work, so it could compile BSPs

sitting in a fancy hotel and having breakfast, Im struct with the realization that I hate being waited upon. I would much rather be in the back of a dive bar or greasy spoon, invisible to the "staff"

I just want to take my food and cloak out of sight

this was an amazing short and its so exhausting that everyone has to now fight against AI accusations

if you look at Mielgo's previous work, its the exact same aesthetic, he developed this weird hallucinogenic digital style long before AI tools were even available

Barcelona has one of the weakest bike share networks Ive ever seen. imagine BIXI or Tangerine or something but with no stations anywhere in the downtown core of the city for like miles in each direction
