-Yet when we came back, late, from the Hyacinth garden,
Your arms full, and your hair wet, I could not
Speak, and my eyes failed, I was neither
Living nor dead, and I knew nothing,
Looking into the heart of light, the silence.
When you back that azz up
don't call me big daddy i am working on my weight as best i am able to do so but last week carol brought in those pastries to work and your dinners are so delicious i overeat baby so just call me by my first name when you back that azz up
you a pretty fine woman better make sure you drink enough water, get enough sleep and remember to stretch for longer periods than you used to before engaging in vigorous backing that azz up
Looks like the far right won big in Chile, which is a real bummer

I still can't believe that Republicans are throwing millions of Americans off their insurance policies next month. They've never actually done this before.

Everyone knew the Chinese competition was coming for the last 20 years.

And the US resorted to malign bigger and bigger cars.

They might not have known it would take the form of light Chinese EVs or Korean SUVs. But it was known and US carmakers resorted to the wrong answer. They had 14 years

The fact that we have super wealthy and extremely stupid people trying to set themselves up as new nobles has made historical nobility, which I only know from books, far more real to me. These people were not smart, they did not rule well, and rigid hierarchies of domination are very bad.

Duke has an amazing repository of the nation's historical gun laws...hundreds of laws which, if today's 2nd Amendment fundamentalists are to be believed, were 100% unconstitutional...and yet, no one seemed to notice that until the last 50 years or so. firearmslaw.duke.edu/repository-o...

You have to think that given the rules that govern the ascension of new Santas in the Santa Clause most Santas attained power by single ritual combat in which they slay Santa (sleigh Santa)

Saw this Discourse on my timeline and wanted to reiterate that Congress *already has passed* a National Service bill in the 1950's and just never bothered to complete the paperwork for it
There’s already a National Service law on the books; Congress never bothered to finish the steps in section 8 (code of conduct, disability benefits, etc) to make it operational, or repeal the legislation

also something no one is talking about: every one in the right wing conspiracy sphere benefitted from him being murdered
ultimately, no one even grieved Charlie Kirk. he was just another thing for the worst people on earth to get outraged over. and when the outrage of real events wasn't enough, they invented new ones.

not even his wife saw his death as anything other than an opportunity.
my read is they were trying to whip up the usual frenzy, but then the effort got blown up by Candace Owens saying The Jews did it

Why are people freaking about Cuellar? Pre-indictment, Cisneros got more than 46% of the primary vote against him in two different election cycles. He's definitely vulnerable

December 13, 2025 at 12:07 AM
what the fuck
The California ACLU is staunchly opposed to the ignition interlock device program and is a big reason that it has not been expanded. Despite the fact that California heavily subsidizes the cost for low-income drunk drivers, the ACLU says that the program is a form of "racialized wealth extraction."

At some point I need to figure out who to vote for in the Georgia gubernatorial primary. There are 7 candidates running, some less serious than others. It looks like Bottoms has raised the most money, but Esteves has a bunch of legislative endorsements. Duncan has lots of annoying texts
