Another display deck at The Hangar got a bit of re-arrangement yesterday. The Canadian 🇨🇦 section now has a couple of more early jets added. (The maintenance crew wore themselves out with all that maneuvering in this tight space.) - Cheers 🍻 #ModelAircraft
Alright now that we have the Dark Earth sorted and taped off, these two are ready for some topside camouflage in green tones. #ModelAircraft P-47D ; B-25C/D (Next will be some green tone variation)

My Airfix 1/72 Spitfire Mk Vc is ready. Coming from the 2020 range release for which new molds are used what can be seen in most parts having a good fit (except for the canopy). Airbrushing went better by using other needle sizes, a lower air pressure and retarder.

My 2025 year-end closing stats: stash contains 22 model kits, number of model kits built: 3, number of model kits bought in 2025: 8 🙄 - the stash grows 📈 fortunately far from SABLE. Merry Christmas 🎄 and a happy new year 🎆 and enjoy your many builds to come in 2026.

Two years in to the rediscovery of this craft and I still haven’t burned out.

Well folk as the year ends and my modelling is done for the year I thought I'd show my builds of 2025. A memorable year of kit bashing. All the best for Christmas. Hope santa gets you all on your list. It's been a pleasure to to be a part of our small circle of friends #histscalemodels #scalemodels

My model making year saw only two finishes but I’m very pleased with both of them.

1:24 Supermarine Seafire Mk.III based on the old Airfix Spitfire Mk.Vb kit.

Aviattic 1:32 Fokker EV/DVIII with Polish markings.

I’m determined that 2026 will be the Year of the Kit!

The cockpit for my MiG is complete. Used my Uncle Tom's old optic visors to prevent eyestrain. Blasted a large variety of tunes on the ol' 5 in 1. Attempts to sit in the rocker afterwards were thwarted by a cat. #histscalemodels #mig15 #winfieldscottthecat

I was about to call the #warhawk done and I realized that the propeler was backward. I tried applying white gas with a brush without any effect, then after a look at various forum I let it seat in a white gas bath for about 24h. Wrong idea! Lucky me I have a spare I bought for the tiger head decal!

Finally got to painting the green. Question for discussion: when you mess something up in this stage, do you remask everythig? I did some finishing touches by free hand and it looks lot different than the rest of borders. Repair (remask all) or leave? #histscalemodels
