“Reindeer” is unrelated to “rein.”

It’s from the Old Norse hreindyri, literally “reindeer animal,” with dyr being a word for any wild quadruped—just like Old English deor—and hreinn being the typical/more specific word for a reindeer in Old Norse. (The Old English word for a reindeer was hran.)

He was married, she waiting for Ponti’s divorce to complete, but their affair was full on.

To avoid scandal in Italy, Loren turned down Grant’s marriage proposal & wed Ponti.

Been a bit lapse with progress on the 888, it's an old kit and although lacking the detail of their modern kits, it still pretty good. The blue on the exhaust is not nearly as bright as the phone camera shows it. Tigger as always, is not impressed.👍

More 3D printed festive trinkets, this time using Sunlu PLA+ four-colour silk filament. The colour changes along the length and across the width of the filament giving some beautiful horizontal and vertical transitions on the printed item.

The Marçay-Moonen monoplane of 1911 was one of the first to be equipped with folding wings to facilitate transport and storage. The angle of attack of the wings could also be modified.
It appears that the machine flew several times between 1911 and 1912.
