I made my second model! This is a Hasegawa 1/72 scale F6F Hellcat, painted with mostly Tamiya paints. I'm quite proud of that dark blue color I mixed up!

Last week’s work was sludging down the the 🇨🇦 trio of #ModelAircraft to get them prepared for the final sealer coat. Missed pre-coat on a couple of areas which resulted in some minor paint damage so that will have ti be fixed. Then bbsat the granddaughter on the weekend so this week I have a cold🤧

Is this #ModelAircraft Déjà vu…? No just your typical white paint job that takes several thin coats in a couple of sessions to get something decent looking done. The O-2A will be white… The CF-104D just the wings and nose & for the 86, it’s just a base for the aluminum.

A bit of forcing myself back to work at the ongoing projects here that are running late. My 1/48 Airfix Anson #ModelAircraft had the nacelles & trailing edges patched and then glass masked & fitted - Now pushing towards a paint-shop session

A bit of forcing myself back to work at the ongoing projects here that are running late. My 1/48 Airfix Anson #ModelAircraft had the nacelles & trailing edges patched and then glass masked & fitted - Now pushing towards a paint-shop session
Time taken to reduce panel lines is always time well spent. I used some Scotch tape as a guide and lightly traced them in with a sharp .3mm pencil, then ran a brush over them until they looked less stark.

Back from a family vacation and therefore away from the model bench for a long enough period to have to push a bit to get back at it (as I do want these finished). Managed to figure out the masking on the O-2A #ModelAircraft at least… Now onto the other two awaiting attention.

Update on the F-4 Trio #ModelAircraft process - The FS 34102 Green paint application done. I suspect I am going to have to do another pass on this though 🤔
