Thank you for making the -Punk suffix relevant! It's a pet peeve of mine that creators stick -punk on any old thing that isn't remotely -punk (most "Steampunk" for instance has heroes that are far from outcasts rebelling against a system). Crystalpunk sounds awesome, thank you!

Moffat has a canon explanation that had to be cut from the 50th. After Barbara and Ian returned to earth they’d lost their jobs and needed money. They sold their story to a film company who made a family friendly pair of movies about it.
