Umburrough Pages 1-5

This is a webcomic I've been working on for sometime, and I'm finally posting it for the internet to see.

Updates are going to be sporadic and infrequent for the time being, but I will be mostly focusing on getting the Website up.

"Once upon a time there was a city…

It was built far away across the Lacrimar Sea in a land where magic still ran wild, chaotic, and free. It grew until it became a sprawling metropolis. People from all around the world flocked to it drawn in by the promise of wealth and prosperity. They did not come alone, for they were also often accompanied by the magical creatures from their native lands. Soon the city was full of of faeries, elves and other beings, all of which became as integral to the city as the concrete and steel that towered above.

This city was always one of great extremes: hot and humid summers and bitter cold winters, towering skyscrapers and quaint gnome hovels, light and shadow. It was a city where Magic and Technology had learned to co-exist in an (admittedly tenuous) harmony, but as the divide between those who labored and those who profited from that labor grew starker, the city found itself at the precipice of a conflict that even it couldn’t peacefully solve.

But it was also a city where two young folks, whether by fate or chance, found each other. One is a witch in training with an important destiny planed and laid out before her by the shadowy conspirators who rule the city, the other is a traveling vagabond determined to help her smash that plan to pieces. This is their story: The story of the love that blossomed between them, of the friends they made and lost, of the revolution they lead, and of the city in which all this happened, the city they loved-
